This past weekend, I had the opportunity to view Elvis XXX: A Porn Parody. The film, directed by Axel Braun (who also directed the insanely popular Batman XXX parody), is a fictionalized account of Elvis Presley, showcasing the King at various times in his life. For obvious reasons, this porn has already mustered quite a bit of attention. But does it live up to all of the hype?
In a word, yes, it does. Elvis XXX: A Porn Parody manages to combine just the right amount of comedy, vintage costumes and hair styles, and high powered sex scenes to come away as a really enjoyable flick. The role of Elvis is split amongst two actors, J. Jay (Young Elvis) and Dale DaBone (Not-Young Elvis). Along the way, the audience is introduced to other characters from Elvis’s life including Ann Margaret, Muhammad Ali, James Dean, and Priscilla Presley. Just for good measure, Ron Jeremy makes an appearance as Elvis’s third cousin, “thrice removed.”
In terms of female talent, this film boasts an impressively talented cast. Any porn that stars Andy San Dimas, Asa Akira and Lexi Belle really can’t help but be a pretty darn good time. These girls know how to steal a scene, even when they’re sharing it with “The King.” I think what really puts it all over the top, though, is the great hair styles. Lexi Belle, for example, comes across as a genuinely believable Ann Margaret, rocking the shit out of that 50′s hairstyle.
All in all, Elvis XXX: A Porn Parody comes away as a really good time. The film is very well done, the actors and actresses all do a great job at selling the characters they’re portraying, and the inclusion of Ron Jeremy is just icing on the cake.
All of this probably explains why the film is flying off of the shelves and is being downloaded at an obscene rate. Elvis XXX: A Porn Parody will no doubt be one of the adult industry’s biggest successes of 2011.
