Who is Aubrey Gold?
Aubrey Gold, born Lauren Wambles, was a porn actress who had appeared in over 125 adult videos before her arrest in August 2020. Making her hardcore debut in 2015, Die-Screaming ranked Aubrey as one of the 25 new pornstars to watch in 2016. Highlights of hers would include her performances in movies such as Schoolgirls Like It Hard (New Sensations), Bad Girls Boot Camp (Wicked Pictures) and Threesome Fantasies Fulfilled 11 (Digital Sin). In 2017, Aubrey received her first and only AVN award nomination for her role in Pretty Little Bitches (Brazzers).
While her career got off to something of a hot start, Gold’s XXX celebrity quickly fizzled. By 2018, she wasn’t getting any kind of regular studio work and was mostly releasing self-produced stuff on sites like Clips4Sale. After her arrest and subsequent conviction, a lot of mainstream media outlets were making it sound like Aubrey Gold was some kind of porn superstar but this wasn’t at all in line with reality. At the time of her arrest in 2020, most casual porn fans had already forgotten about her.
Aubrey Gold | From pornstar to murderer…
Gold had been dating Raul Guillen, a 51-year-old man from Georgia. In July 2020, Guillen went missing, and his remains were later discovered in a shallow grave in the backyard of a residence in Graceville, Florida. The discovery of the body sparked a thorough investigation by local authorities, eventually leading to the arrest of Gold, along with her two accomplices, William Shane Parker and Jeremie Odell Peters.
During the trial, it was revealed that Gold had played a pivotal role in the planning and execution of the murder. Evidence presented in court showed that Gold had been involved in a heated argument with Guillen prior to his death, allegedly over money and drugs. Prosecutors argued that Gold, along with Parker and Peters, conspired to murder Guillen as a result of this dispute.
On the night of the murder, Gold lured Guillen to the residence where his body was later discovered. According to testimony, Parker and Peters ambushed Guillen, brutally beating him before shooting him multiple times. Gold then assisted in burying Guillen’s body in the shallow grave.
Throughout the trial, Gold’s defense team attempted to downplay her involvement in the crime, arguing that she was manipulated by Parker and Peters, who were the primary aggressors. However, the prosecution maintained that Gold was an active participant in the murder and played a crucial role in its planning and execution.
In October 2021, Gold was found guilty of second-degree murder and accessory after the fact. She was subsequently sentenced to 10 years in prison. Her accomplices, Parker and Peters, were also found guilty and received life sentences without the possibility of parole.
The case has attracted significant media attention due to Gold’s occupation as a porn actress, and the brutal nature of the crime. Some have argued that the case highlights the darker side of the adult film industry, where performers can become entangled in a dangerous web of drugs, violence, and crime. However, it is important to note that Gold’s actions and decisions should not be used to generalize the entire adult film industry, as this case is an extreme and tragic example.
