Die-Screaming ranks the ten greatest pornstars of the aughts…
A legit international superstar, Katsuni was an absolute force within the European porn industry and one of the most popular performers in the United States during the first decade of the Millenium. A native of France, Katsuni was nominated for nearly every major industry award that either side of the Atlantic Ocean has to offer and starred in some of the best-selling XXX films of all time. Between 2001 and 2009, Katsuni performed in well over three-hundred hardcore videos, retired from porn in 2013, and was inducted into the AVN Hall of Fame in 2014.
9. Aurora Snow
Easily one of the most popular pornstars of the 2000s, Aurora Snow starred in over six-hundred dirty movies during that decade. She entered the industry at the age of 18 and very quickly established herself as an incredibly talented performer and has the 2003 AVN Female Performer of the Year trophy (along with a whole mess of other awards and nominations) to prove it. Snow also directed several XXX films, had a cameo in the movie Superbad, and is an inductee in the AVN and XRCO Halls of Fame.
8. jessica drake
One of the most all-around talented people the porn industry has ever been blessed with, jessica drake performed in some of the most critically acclaimed XXX releases of the 2000s, including Fallen, Manhunters, Fluff and Fold, and Fuck. All of those movies were produced by Wicked Pictures and directed by Brad Armstrong. That combination of Armstrong and drake has proven itself to be one of the most epic director/performer pairings in the history of dirty movies. jessica drake is an inductee of both the AVN and XRCO Halls of Fame and performed in close to three-hundred porn movies during the 2000s.
7. Jada Fire
In addition to being one of the decade’s most talented XXX personalities, Jada Fire was also one of the most prolific starlets of the Aughts. Between 2000 and 2009, Jada performed in over six-hundred porn movies, won several major industry awards, and is an inductee to the AVN, XRCO, and UrbanX Halls of Fame. Throughout the decade, Jada Fire starred in some of the biggest-selling titles of the Millenium, including Who’s Nailin’ Paylin (Hustler), Fallen (Wicked Pictures), and Performers of the Year (Elegant Angel).
6. Jesse Jane
Jesse Jane spent most of the first decade of the Millenium as a contract star for Digital Playground and only performed in fifty-eight XXX movies during that time. However, Jesse proved herself to be one of the most popular pornstars of all-time and probably sold more porn films than any performer of that decade. In fact, several of her movies are ranked as some of the highest-selling adult movies ever. These would include such mega-hits as Pirates, Pirates 2: Stagnetti’s Revenge, Babysitters, and Island Fever 3.
5. Briana Banks
Briana Banks was one of the first new XXX superstars of the Millenium. For the first half of the decade, Brianna was arguably the most popular pornstar in the business. During that time, she starred in several best-selling dirty movies, earned a whole bunch of major industry awards, was a Penthouse Pet, and routinely delivered some of the hottest hardcore action around. For proof of that, just check out her scenes in such films as Pure Max (Max Hardcore), White Trash Whore 16 (JM Productions), and Briana Loves Rocco (Vivid).
4. Hillary Scott
Between 2004 and 2009, Hillary Scott performed in nearly six-hundred hardcore movies and was one of the most successful women in porn. In addition to her mad fuck skills, Hillary was also a super talented dramatic actress. That combination made her a favorite of XXX critics and fans, propelling many of her movies to the top of the Best Selling charts and earning her more awards and trophies than I have the attention span to count. Hell, she even set a record for winning awards when she walked away from the 2007 XRCO show holding five trophies…the most anyone has ever one in a single night at that annual awards ceremony.
John Stagliano, the guy who owns Evil Angel and one of the greatest porn directors of all time, once said of Belladonna that she was, “a woman with the most incredible sexual abilities I’ve ever seen.” It’s a statement that’s hard to argue against if you’ve seen any of her work. Between 2000 and 2008, Belladonna delivered to us some of the hardest of hardcore scenes that have ever been caught on camera. Additionally, she proved herself to be an extremely accomplished director, crafting some of the most intense XXX films produced during the Aughts.
2. Sasha Grey
Sasha Grey made her XXX debut in 2006 and almost immediately set herself apart as one of the most insanely talented and popular women in porn. Grey had a well-earned reputation for delivering scenes that were incredibly intense and on a level above what almost anyone else in the industry was doing then or even now. She went on to win all sorts of XXX industry trophies, including the 2008 AVN and XRCO Female Performer of the Year awards. Sasha also was the star of the 2009 mainstream film The Girlfriend Experience, was profiled in Rolling Stone magazine, was a Penthouse Pet and featured in Playboy twice.
1. Jenna Haze
Jenna Haze is Die-Screaming’s choice for the #1 Best Female Pornstar of the 2000s. I don’t think that should come as a shock to most people as Jenna was easily the most dominant XXX starlet of that decade. From 2001 to 2009, Haze performed in close to five-hundred hardcore movies, won the AVN Best New Starlet and Female Performer of the Year trophies (only one other performer has ever done that, btw), worked as a director, owned her own production company, starred in the first porn movie to be released on Blu-Ray, and starred in some of the best-selling porn movies of the aughts. And that’s why she’s the best of the whole damn decade.
About these rankings…
Even though I crank out lots of these Top 10 lists, I’ll be the first to admit that they’re all flawed. Why? Because ranking people against other people is dumb. Also, there are way more than ten pornstars that deserve to be on this list. But because of math, a whole bunch had to get left off.
All that being said…I think these rankings are pretty legit.
However, because you are Internet people, you probably disagree. Which is fine. Just share your own Top 10 list in the comments box below. I won’t read it but do it anyway because what else are you doing with your life?
