Chanel Preston has been cast in the role of Lara Croft and will be starring in the upcoming Tomb Raider XXX: An Exquisite Films Parody. For fans of both Ms. Preston and of the uber-popular Tomb Raider gaming franchise, this is some pretty big and exciting news.
This casting decision caps an already huge year for Chanel Preston, which saw her delivering a critically acclaimed performance in Rezervoir Dogs, play the part of Wonder Woman in The Justice League of Pornstar Superheroes, and be nominated for an XBIZ Award for female performer of the year. By taking up the part of Lara Croft, perhaps the most fantasized about heroine in gaming history, Chanel Preston is already setting herself up for an even more successful 2012.
In speaking about her upcoming role as Lara Croft in the Tomb Raider porn parody, here’s what Preston had to say…
“Lara Croft is the ultimate action role. With all the buzz surrounding the part, I’m honored Exquisite Films chose me. Croft is a strong, iconic character within the gaming community made even more popular by Angelina Jolie, who I love. I’m excited to portray the same combination of sexy and badass.”
Tomb Raider XXX will be directed by Jordan Septo, who’s experience in porn parodies includes American Dad XXX, The Nanny XXX, and Saturday Night Fever XXX. Filming for the Tomb Raider porn parody will get underway later this month and, while there’s been no official announcement, we should probably expect Tomb Raider XXX to hit shelves in the first few months of 2012.
In explaining his decision to cast Chanel Preston as Lara Croft, here’s what Septo had to say…
“After an extensive search for our Lara Croft, we made the decision to cast Chanel Preston. Chanel has proven herself time and time again for Exquisite Films and myself. Besides her strong resemblance to the character, her amazingly strong abilities in both acting and performing make her the obvious choice. We couldn’t be any happier.”
