Stormy Daniels is back! After nearly four years away from the industry, Stormy has announced that she’s signed an exclusive deal with Wicked Pictures that will pay her “seven figures” to direct films and serve as a brand ambassador for the studio. While there’s no indication that the deal will see her performing in any of its movies, having her award-winning directing talents locked up for itself is a huge win for Wicked.
In a press release, Stormy provided the following quote about her excitement at being asked by Axel Braun (Wicked Pictures’ head of production) to sign on as an exclusive director with Wicked…
In 2002, I moved to Los Angeles and signed a contract with Wicked. I had no family, no money and no clue what I was doing. I just knew that I wanted to be there. That I had to be there. I quickly became more than just a performer for the company. It was at Wicked that I found my voice and discovered my love for writing and directing. For 16 years, Wicked was my home, and my film crew was my family. I lived and breathed making movies; directing was, and always will be, my passion.
A few years ago, I was called away from the industry that I love, in order to handle some other much dirtier things, but those battles are now finally over. So when Axel approached me last month and asked me if I’d like to come home, there was absolutely no hesitation to my resounding, “Yes!”
Who is Stormy Daniels?
C’mon. You know who Stormy Daniels is.
Best known as an adult film performer and for occasionally waging legal war against the President of the United States, Stormy Daniels also happens to be a widely respected writer and director of XXX movies. From 2004 to 2018, Stormy crafted nearly 100 dirty movies, almost all of them for Wicked Pictures. Several of those films went on to earn multiple major industry award nominations and have featured some of the biggest names in all of Porn.
Examples of her work as a director would include such films as Win A Date With Sofia Blake, Trouble X 2, Last Chance and It’s Complicated. In terms of critical acclaim, Stormy’s “masterpiece” is probably the movie Wanted, which was released in 2015 and featured a cast of all-stars that included Anikka Albrite, Allie Haze, jessica drake, Chanel Preston and Stormy herself.
The last time Stormy directed adult films was in 2018. That year, she helmed three films for Digital Playground; Highway Home, Blow: A DP Parody and T.I.T.S. Bouncing Above the Law. With her talents as a filmmaker, Stormy will bolster a stable of directors that includes Axel Braun, James Avalon and Seth Gamble.
Her addition to the team comes at a critical time, as Wicked Pictures is still somewhat reeling from the departure of longtime exclusive director Brad Armstrong, easily one of the greatest adult film directors of all time and the creative force behind many of the studio’s biggest hits.
