Earlier this month, I told you about the release of Ms. Grey 2: Darker. This week, I finally had the opportunity to sit down with the movie and check it out. After watching it, I was highly impressed. Sure, I was expecting it to be really good just based on the talent involved, but I will tell you that I did not come into this expecting to see one of the finest BDSM films that I’ve seen in a long while.
But that’s exactly what happened. This movie was fucking awesome.
What I liked about Ms. Grey 2: Darker…
The problem that I have with many (most?) BDSM porn is that much of it comes across as weak and watered down. You come in expecting to see some hardcore BDSM shit and what you get is a girl tied up with tissue paper and being tickled by a feather duster. I hate that.
However, much to my delight, Ms. Grey 2: Darker doesn’t play that game. While this may be a porn parody, there is nothing goofy about it. This is BDSM porn made and performed by people who actually know what BDSM is and who probably practice it in their off-camera real lives. This results in a level of authenticity and power blows a lot of other movies in this genre out of the water.
One of the film’s most powerful scenes was the Lily Cade/Charlotte Sartre pairing. Simply put, Lily Cade delivers one of the most intense and brutal performances that I’ve ever seen from her. The scene is full of slapping and anal strap-on fucking mixed in with Lily repeatedly shoving Charlotte’s face underwater in a bathtub and a toilet.
Which leads me to the performances by the cast of Ms. Grey 2: Darker. The women who perform in this movie are all hugely talented Girl/Girl and BDSM ninjas. Lily Cade and Dana Vespoli are two of the best in the business and have been so several years at this point. And Dolly Leigh, Charlotte Sartre, Jillian Janson and Loni Legend all had stand-up-and-applaud worthy showings here.
Finally, massive kudos need to be given out to both Dee Severe and Lily Cade. These ladies co-directed the film and they did a masterful job with everything. You can’t produce an XXX movie that is filled with scenes and characters as powerful as the ones on display here by accident. Additionally, the cinematography, editing, sound and video quality were all on point.
What I didn’t like about Ms. Grey 2: Darker…
I got nothing to pick at here. The whole goddamn movie was super great.

- You don’t need to have seen the first Ms. Grey movie (released in 2015) to enjoy the sequel, but it sure adds a bit to the experience if you have seen both.

The bottom line…
Ms. Grey 2: Darker is hands down one of the best BDSM releases of 2017 thus far and will probably keep that distinction even as the year rolls on. A combination of powerful storytelling, outstanding individual performances and top-tier XXX craftsmanship result in something special. I can’t recommend this movie enough. If you don’t watch this film, you are an asshole.
