About a month ago, Dorcel released Missing. I’m just getting around to writing about it now because I am the worst porn blogger alive. Anyway, the movie now ranks as one of the best-selling adult films of the year so far and now I’m here — very late — to tell you all about it. If I weren’t mostly dead inside, I might feel bad about this gross negligence on my part but I am so I don’t.
As you can see from the trailer up above, this isn’t a cheap porn flick. Herve Bodilis is one of Europe’s greatest XXX filmmakers and Dorcel has clearly pumped the production budget on this thing all the way up. For the American audience reading this who might not be familiar with Dorcel or the cast featured in Missing, allow me, a fellow American, to reassure you that this is definitely a movie that’s worth your time. And for those that are familiar with Dorcel and the quality of feature films the studio is known for, well, you’ve probably already watched Missing at least once by this point.
Missing | Why should you care?
This isn’t an official review of the movie, but I have seen Missing and it’s really good. So that should be enough of a reason for you to care at least a little bit about the film and give you reason to sit down and spend some time with it. But maybe you need some more convincing because you’re picky or difficult or whatever. Fine.
Start with the fact that this is a Herve Bodilis directed joint. This man has been directing smut for the better part of 30 years at this point and so he knows what he’s doing. He’s also won multiple Best Director and Director of the Year awards from the likes of AVN and XBIZ and is responsible for crafting several of the most critically acclaimed European XXX movies of the 21st Century. Simply put, Herve Bodilis doesn’t make shitty porn. If you want to see additional examples of his awesomeness, go watch Pornochic: Maya & Jia, Tiffany, Desires of Submission, or Betrayal.
Next, let’s talk a bit about Clara Mia. The star of Missing, Clara is a 2022 AVN International Female Performer of the Year nominee and one of the industry’s most elite superstars on either side of the Atlantic Ocean. She’s also done a fair bit of work for Dorcel and Herve Bodilis, having delivered stunning performances in Revenge, Whitney Desires of Submission, and Sunset. In this movie, Clara Mia stars in four of the film’s six hardcore scenes, including the massive 14-person orgy.
Finally, as I already briefly mentioned, the production value of Missing is top-notch. I’m talking video shot in ultra-high definition 4K, high-definition audio, and a collection of some of the richest and most elegant backdrops that you’re likely to see in any adult film. Dorcel pumped a whole lot of money and talent into the making of Missing and that, combined with all the other things I’ve already mentioned, adds up to a movie that is very much worth the price of admission.
And, yeah, that’s why you should be excited for Missing.
