Multiple Pornstars Accuse James Deen of Rape (UPDATE!)

Stoya, Tori Lux, and Ashley Fires say James Deen sexually assaulted them…

James Deen is arguably the most popular and commercially successful male performer currently working in porn.  And he is also a serial rapist according to multiple women.  Two days ago, Stoya announced that James Deen had raped her.  Since then, Tori Lux and Ashley Fires have also publicly made similar accusations.  As for James Deen, he says all of these claims are “false and defamatory”.

On Saturday, Stoya, the popular pornstar and ex-girlfriend of James Deen, took to Twitter and had this to say…

That thing where you log in to the internet for a second and see people idolizing the guy who raped you as a feminist. That thing sucks.

— Stoya (@stoya) November 28, 2015

James Deen held me down and fucked me while I said no, stop, used my safeword. I just can’t nod and smile when people bring him up anymore. — Stoya (@stoya) November 28, 2015

Then today, two separate articles were published on The Daily Beast that added to the accusations against James Deen and went into graphic detail regarding his alleged behavior towards women.  One article, titled, “James Deen, the Bill Cosby of Porn?” had this quote from pornstar Ashley Fires regarding an encounter she had with Mr. Deen…

“The reason I put him on my ‘no list’ was because he almost raped me,” said Fires. “The only time I’d ever seen this guy, he walked into the green room at Kink [studios], picks up Jessie Cox like a caveman, grabs her by the hair, and takes her off somewhere… and I can only imagine.”

“Later on that night, I was getting out of the shower of the communal bathroom at Kink, I reach for my towel to dry off, and he comes up from behind me and pushes himself and his erection into my butt,” she continued. “He pushes me against the sink and starts grabbing on me and I was like, ‘No, no, no James, no,’ and he released me from his grasp, and says, ‘You know, later if you want to fuck around I’m in room whatever-it-was. I was like, ‘Fuck you.’ I didn’t even know this guy, he was so out of line and entitled with my body.”

In the second Daily Beast article, titled, “James Deen Assaulted Me, Too“, former pornstar Tori Lux provided a detailed account of a time when she says Deen sexually attacked her…

My name is Tori Lux, and I’m a former adult performer. In June of 2011, while shooting at a major porn studio, I was assaulted by James Deen.

While James wasn’t performing with me that day, he was present on set—and almost immediately after I’d finished my scene he began to antagonize me. I hadn’t even had time to dress myself when he said, with a smirk on his face, “Tori Lux, would you like to sniff my testicles?” “Nope,” I replied in a neutral tone. “I’ll repeat myself: Tori Lux, would you like to sniff my testicles?” he asked, more aggressively this time. I replied with a firm “No,” in order to establish my boundary—which James then disregarded by grabbing me by the throat and shoving me down onto a mattress on the floor.

He proceeded to straddle my chest, pinning down my arms with his knees. Then, he raised his hand high above his head, swinging it down and hitting me in the face and head with an open palm. He did this five or six times—hard—before finally getting off of me.

Disoriented and nursing a sore jaw, I stood up—but before I could collect myself, he grabbed me by my hair and shoved me to my knees, forcing my face into his crotch several times before shoving me to the floor. I was completely stunned, having no idea how to react. I felt pressured to maintain a professional demeanor as this was a major porn set, with other people present and failing to intervene.

As I mentioned at the beginning, James Deen denies all of this.  Last night, he sent out the following series of tweets…

There have been some egregious claims made against me on social media

— James Deen (@JamesDeen) November 30, 2015

I want to assure my friends, fans and colleagues that these allegations are both false and defamatory — James Deen (@JamesDeen) November 30, 2015

I respect women and I know and respect limits both professionally and privately

— James Deen (@JamesDeen) November 30, 2015

As more information regarding these claims against James Deen becomes available, I’ll be sure to pass them along.

Update: 11/30/2015 | 8:49pm ET – The Frisky, Kink.com, Evil Angel, Doc Johnson, and APAC part ways with James Deen

In the wake of multiple women calling James Deen out for being a violent serial rapist, he has become damaged goods as fellow performers and major porn studios are trying to put as much distance between themselves and Mr. Deen as possible.  Just in the last few hours, it was announced that Kink.com and APAC have cut ties with him as a direct result of these rape accusations. In a statement, the Adult Performer Advocacy Committee (APAC) announced that in the wake of the rape accusation scandal currently surrounding him, James Deen has resigned as Chairperson from its Board of Directors.  To quote from the APAC press release

APAC recognizes the seriousness of the statements made by performers in the community and that they indicate a major conflict between a board member and other members of the organization. The APAC Board wants to state unequivocally that we stand with performers and other sex workers who are victims of any sort of sexual assault. APAC is committed to being a safe space for performers, and to creating a safer and healthier industry.

This was followed almost immediately by an announcement from Kink.com, one of the industry’s largest BDSM studios, announcing that it too had decided to cut all ties with James Deen

For the Kink.com community, as well as the larger BDSM community, consent and respect are sacrosanct. Effective immediately, Kink.com will cease all ties with James Deen, both as a performer and a producer. Our performers deserve not only safe sets, but the ability to work without fear of assault. Rape or sexual assault, with or without a safe-word, off-set or on, should never be accepted as a hazard of adult production. While many of the allegations against Deen are new, the pattern is alarming. Over the coming weeks and months, we will review our Model Bill of Rights to strengthen rights of performers off-set, and work with the larger industry to help performers to have been assaulted to more easily come forward.

All of this followed the decision by The Frisky to immediately stop publishing a regular sex-advice column written by James Deen, which had been titled WWJDD.  In an article posted to the site, that decision was explained like this…

I learned of Stoya’s accusation a few hours after she posted her tweets, and immediately made the decision to end James Deen’s sex advice column with The Frisky effective immediately. Sometime tomorrow, the ads on the Sex section which link out to James Deen’s website will be removed. We won’t be publishing WWJDD going forward, and I will be making a decision about how to handle the columns we’ve already published in the next day or two.

Evil Angel, arguably the most powerful studio in the porn industry, has also decided to cease working with James Deen as a result of the growing rape controversy.  To quote from a statement given by industry legend and Evil Angel founder John Stagliano…

In light of the recent accusations against James Deen, Evil Angel today has decided not to sell any newly created scenes featuring Deen. While our company presents what is consensual and exploratory about aggressive and rough sex, these accusations are of a nature so contrary to our company values that we feel it necessary to suspend the sales until more information is available.

Doc Johnson, which manufactures and markets a line of James Deen licenced sex toys, added to the mass exodus of companies running away from Deen.  Chad Braverman, the company’s COO and creative director had this to say

We are taking the allegations against James Deen very seriously. And in light of the recent accusations we have decided to no longer proceed with the products that we make on his behalf.

Finally, at least one major pornstar has already added James Deen to her “NO” list. Tasha Reign sent out the following tweet just a few hours ago…

I am a #Feminist before I am a model or pornographer. #istandwithstoya I’m saddened to say that I have to #blacklist James Deen and I’m sad — Tasha Reign (@tashareign) November 30, 2015

Update: 12/3/2016 | Amber Rayne and Kora Peters also accuse James Deen of rape

The accusations of sexual assault just keep piling on against James Deen.  Pornstars Kora Peters and Amber Rayne have both come forward, saying that they were also raped by Mr. Deen.  To date, this makes five women who’ve publicly accused him of sexual assault in less than a week.

In an article published on the Daily Beast, Amber Rayne (who describes herself as a friend of James Deen), provided the following account of the first time she performed with him…

We were in a piledriver, he was fucking me in the ass and I said something like, ‘Yeah fuck me like that you son of a bitch.’ His face twisted and he came down on my face two times—close-fisted,” says Rayne. “I was punched in the face while he was still in my ass and then he starts going crazy on my butt—extreme, brutally fucking it. He just starts shoving things in to the point where he ripped it and I bled everywhere. There was so much blood I couldn’t finish the scene.

In that same article, Kora Peters also shared her story of how James Deen assaulted her, also on camera, during a shoot in which Peters had agreed to a standard boy/girl scene with no anal sex…

James [Deen] kept trying to get inside my ass but I kept pushing him away, so he choked me, then he slammed my face down into the couch and forced himself in my ass anyway,” says Peters. “The crew all high-fived him and told him what a great job he did getting an anal scene for the price of a boy/girl scene.
