Die-Screaming ranks the ten greatest new XXX starlets of the year…
10. Chloe Cherry
Chloe Cherry (aka Chloe Couture) had herself a very nice 2017. Throughout the year, her best work came when she was delivering anal performances, in films such as Anal Dolls 3 (Evil Angel), Analized (James Deen Productions) and Interracial Teen Vol. 3 (DarkX). Those impressive displays of XXX helped secure her a 2018 XBIZ Best New Starlet nomination and set her apart as one of the industry’s hottest new talents.
9. Sofi Ryan
Sofi Ryan very quietly put together an incredibly solid year in 2017. A lot of her work was for premium sites like Naughty America and Reality Kings, though many of you may have seen her in movies such as A Hotwife Blindfolded 3 (New Sensations), Slut Auditions 4 (Evil Angel) and Threesome Fantasies Vol. 2 (Vixen). Add to that being nominated for Best New Starlet by both AVN and XBIZ and this lady certainly stands out from most of her peers.
8. Elena Koshka
Elena Koshka performed in nearly forty hardcore films this year and the stuff she did with director/performer Manuel Ferrara was easily her best work. If you saw her in Manuel’s Maximum Penetration 4, Manuel’s Fucking POV 7 or Raw 30 (all Jules Jordan Video releases), you know what I’m talking about. She also just earned five award nominations from AVN and XBIZ, including one for the prestigious AVN Best New Starlet.
7. Honey Gold
Honey Gold is my favorite performer on this list and someone who’ve I’ve written quite a bit about this year. She’s nominated for Best New Starlet by both AVN and XBIZ and I sincerely hope she walks away with at least one of those trophies. Some of 2017 highlights include terrific showings in films such as The Black Out (Jules Jordan Video) and Naughty Black Housewives 4 (Elegant Angel). Additionally, her first showcase movie, Taste of Honey (Evil Angel), was just released a few weeks ago.
6. Giselle Palmer
Giselle Palmer burst onto the XXX scene in 2017 with such force that it was impossible to ignore her. She was at her best when performing anal scenes in films such as Up My Ass (Pornfidelity), Anal Freshmen 3 (Evil Angel) and Deep In That Ass 4 (Evil Angel). These types of showings proved her to be one of the baddest new talents in smut and helped secure her Best New Starlet nominations from both AVN and XBIZ.
5. Riley Nixon
Riley Nixon was one of the most critically acclaimed new talents to grace the porn industry with her talents in 2017. Her stellar performances in films such as Confessions Of A Sinful Nun (Sweetheart Video), Anal Savages 2 (Jules Jordan Video) and TS Forbidden Love (Transsesual) along with the bold shaved head look that she rocked throughout the year made her one of the most memorable XXX starlets in all of smut over the previous twelve months.
4. Violet Starr
Violet Starr just received a total of seven award nominations from AVN and XBIZ, with both of those organizations putting her up for Best New Starlet and Best Supporting Actress. While her roles in movies such as Stacked 6 (HardX) and Me and Mommy’s Messy Mouth (Evil Angel) were impressive, it was her performance in The Submission of Emma Marx: Evolved (New Sensations) that truely set her apart from most of her peers this year.
3. Lena Paul
Hands down, Lena Paul was one of the most delightful things about porn in 2017. Across the span of the year, Ms. Paul performed in some of the year’s best and most exciting releases, including Justice League XXX: An Axel Braun Parody (Wicked Pictures), Manuel’s Fucking POV 6 (Jules Jordan Video) and Girls That Like Girls (Digital Sin) and was ranked by Die-Screaming as having the #4 best pair of tits in porn.
2. Jill Kassidy
Before her performance in Half His Age: A Teenage Tragedy (Pure Taboo), Jill Kassidy had certainly done enough to be in consideration for a Best New Starlet trophy. After that film, which saw her deliver some of the best dramatic and hardcore performances of anyone all year, Ms. Kassidy proved herself to be one of the most elite new performers in the industry, earning five AVN and XBIZ nominations for that role alone.
1. Kristen Scott
Kristen Scott is Die-Screaming’s #1 Best New Starlet of 2017. In addition to appearing in over one-hundred hardcore movies over the course of the year, Ms. Scott also left no doubt that she is also one of the most talented women currently working in smut, with her performances in hit films such as Half His Age: A Teenage Tragedy (Pure Taboo), Dirty Little Interracial Schoolgirl Stories (New Sensations) and Anal Threesomes Vol. 2 (Tushy) proving that point.
This young lady is absolutely amazing and stands to be a force within the industry for as long as she chooses to be part of it.
About this year’s Top 10 Best New Starlet rankings…
This is the fifth consecutive year that Die-Screaming has published the 10 Best New Starlet rankings. In order to come up with the list you see here, I scored twenty-two ladies across seven criteria and then tallied the points. The women with the ten highest scores are the ones you see here, ranked from 10 to 1 based solely on that score.
Because I trust none of you, I won’t reveal the exact scoring formula that was used to compile these rankings. That being said, I can share with you some (maybe) interesting statistics…
- 13.2 points separated the first and tenth positions, while there was 5.2 points between 1st and 2nd place.
- Just 1.3 points separated positions 6 thru 10 and there were three starlets who missed making the Top 10 by less than a single point.

I’m willing to stand by the Top 10 best new starlet rankings that you see here. I watch more porn than almost any other human on the planet each year, mostly while binge drinking and sobbing naked in a corner of a room, so I think I have the perspective needed to figure this shit out. That being said, no top 10 list is perfect and none of you fuckers probably agree with any of my rankings.
