10. Vince Karter
Vince Karter has been one of the most elite European pornstars for the better part of a decade and in 2021, he showed zero signs of slowing down. As is typical for this guy, Vince had roles in several of the year’s most popular and best-selling adult films. Such examples would include When Cherry Met Alexis (Private), Anal Virtue 2 (Evil Angel) and Anal Pleasures (Spizoo). I should also point out Mr. Karter recently was nominated for his third consecutive AVN Foreign Male Performer of the Year award.
9. Nathan Bronson
An argument could be made that 2021 was the best year of Nathan Bronson’s career so far. While he’s certainly been an elite-level talent for the past few years, the previous twelve months have been extra awesome in terms of Nathan Bronson doing porn stuff. He delivered award worthy showings in such films as Heavenly Radio (Adam & Eve Pictures), Blue Moon Rising (Missa X) and Mistress Maitland 2 (Deeper). Nathan also earned himself AVN Best Actor and XBIZ Male Performer of the Year nominations, a nice cap to a very impressive 2021.
8. Michael Stefano
Michael Stefano has been performing in XXX since the mid-Nineties so it’s hard to say that 2021 was the best year of his career. It would be fair, however, to say that this year was certainly one of his better ones. Highlights of his would include performances in such joints as MILF Squirt Vol. 3 (Elegant Angel), The Art of Anal Sex 13 (Tushy) and Anal Stars 2 (Evil Angel). If he still cares about such things (he was inducted into the AVN Hall of Fame over a decade ago), Michael is also deserving on congratulations for scoring a collective 11 XBIZ and AVN award nominations.
7. Oliver Flynn
Since making his hardcore debut back in 2018, Oliver Flynn has worked to solidify himself as one of the industry’s hottest male talents. 2021 was absolutely a breakout year for Oliver and easily the most impressive of his career. Some of his best work was featured in films such as Psychosexual (Vixen), Three 2 (Deeper) and Stacked 11: All Natural (Hard X). If you haven’t been keeping up with his work this year then you’ve been missing out and you’re also probably an asshole.
6. Isiah Maxwell
Isiah Maxwell has been one of the XXX industry’s most elite male talents for the past several years and he was just as good all through 2021 as he’s ever been at any point in his career. He routinely delivered best-in-class performances across the year, with some of his best work being in such films as Ultimate Fuck Toy: Gabbie Carter (Jules Jordan Video), Mistress Maitland 2 (Deeper) and Ultimate Gingers 2 (ArchAngel Entertainment). It’s probably also worth pointing out the Isiah just earned his fourth AVN and fifth XBIZ Male Performer of the Year nominations.
5. Ramon Nomar
2021 was certainly a standout year for Ramon Nomar and that alone is impressive as hell considering this guy has been doing porn for damn close to thirty years. This year, Ramon finally became an adult film director, helming and starring in the critically acclaimed Trans International series for Evil Angel and performing in his first TS scene with superstar Aubrey Kate. Ramon also delivered strong performances in such flicks as Creamy Cowgirls (Devil’s Film), Black Widow XXX (Wicked Pictures) and DP Me Vol. 12 (Hard X).
4. Jax Slayher
Jax Slayher was awesome all across 2021. Coming into the year, anyone who knew anything about Porn already understood that Jax was one of the elite XXX swordsmen. But during the span of the previous twelve months, Mr. Slayher went to work and put together what some might argue was the most impressive year of his career. Highlights of his would include strong showings in Black Beauties 3 (Black X), Alexis Tae Anal Fantasy (Evil Angel) and Interracial Passion (Jules Jordan Video). Do not be surprised if this man walks away with at least one Male Performer of the Year trophy when those things are handed out a few weeks from now.
3. Dante Colle
There isn’t anyone in all of Porn who’s able to operate at an elite level across both Straight and Gay genres of smut as Dante Colle. In 2021, Dante’s impressive hardcore and dramatic acting abilities helped elevate such critically acclaimed releases as Blue Moon Rising (MissaX), Casey: A True Story (Adult Time) and Transfixed: Fairest Of Them All (Adult Time). On top of that, Dante headlined several releases for studios such as Men.com and Icon Male. I really don’t think there’s anyone who’s a more talented performer anywhere in the Porn business.
2. Angelo Godshack
Angelo Godshack might very well be the most dominant European male pornstar currently working in Smut. A 2021 XBIZ Europa Male Performer of the Year and 2022 AVN International Male Performer of the Year nominee, Angelo was seemingly in everything that was released over the past twelve months from porn studios all across Europe. Highlights of his would include such XXX joints as Fire & Ice (Harmony Films), Undressed (Sinful XXX) and Lingerie Models Agency (Private).
1. Mick Blue
Mick Blue is Die-Screaming’s pick for the best male pornstar of 2021. This is nothing new for Mick, he’s been featured on these Top 10 rankings — and usually at or close to the top spot — since I started doing them in 2014. To give you an idea of how talented of a human being Mick Blue is, consider that he’s been nominated for the 2022 AVN Male Performer of the Year, Director of the Year and Best Leading actor…in addition to about another collective 20 XBIZ and AVN awards. Some of his best work of the year would certainly include Uncut 4 (Evil Angel), Psychosexual (Vixen) and The Art of Anal Sex 13 (Tushy).
About this year’s Top 10 Best Male Pornstar rankings…
This is the eighth year running that I’ve put these Best Male Pornstar rankings together for Die-Screaming. As is always the case with these types of things, no Top 10 list is perfect. There were many men who were deserving of being recognized for very impressive showings in 2021 but the fact is limiting the list to ten studs means than twice that many are left out. That sucks.
But all of that being said, I believe this Top 10 list is as close to balls-on accurate as any such rankings could be. This year, 43 dudes were scored across 11 categories. Those with the ten highest scores are the ones you see here. Because I’m an asshole, I won’t give you the exact scoring model that I use but I can provide you with a few statistical insights for your consideration…
- The smallest point differential between any two consecutive positions was between #9 and #10, which were separated by a span of two-tenths of a point. The largest distance was between #1 and #2, which had 11 points between them.
- Two performers were each 3 points or less away from making the Top 10.
- Positions #1 and #10 were separated by 29.5 points.

I already mentioned that there’s no such thing as a “perfect” Top 10 list, especially when you’re ranking people. But I’ve watched enough porn over the past 12 months to cause permanent brain damage so I’m pretty confident that the rankings you see here and I stand by them. You might disagree and that’s fine.
