Die-Screaming interviews XXX starlet Whitney Wright
I recently had the opportunity to ask Whitney Wright a bunch of questions. For those not familiar, Ms. Wright made her hardcore debut back in 2016 and has since gone on to perform in nearly a hundred XXX scenes. This lady has a whole bunch of talent and is poised to be one of the industry’s next true superstars.
Anyway, I think this has been one of my best interviews yet. I’ve been practicing by walking up to strangers in the mall and asking them lots of personal questions. And by chugging lots of cheap whiskey and then crying in the shower. So here’s how it went…
Whitney Wright | The Die-Screaming interview

Whitney Wright doing the anal thing with Manuel Ferrara
Die-Screaming: Congratulations on being nominated by both AVN and XBIZ for the Best New Starlet award. Does achieving that kind of success early in your career add any extra pressure on you to step up your game?
Whitney Wright: Oh absolutely! If anything, it has motivated me to work harder, do more scenes, and grow my brand. It has been extremely motivating to get nominated for those two awards, it makes me want to hustle to get nominated for even more awards next year.
One of your newest films is Manuel Opens Their Asses 5. What was it like working with Manuel Ferrara, both in his role as the director and as your co-star?
That was my first time getting to work with Manuel, he’s very down to earth and easy to work with, in that he guides you throughout the entire scene and makes sure you’re comfortable all throughout.
Are there any scenes of yours that stand out in your mind as being some of your favorite?
Definitely all of my XEmpire scenes: DarkX, HardX, and EroticaX. I also really love my Pure Taboo scenes and my showcase I did for Zero Tolerance.
There’s been a lot of attention being paid to the negative aspects of porn over the past few months. Is working in this industry the horrible existence that some people claim? What’s your experience been like so far?
This is going to sound super cliché, but I really believe that so much of your experience in the industry depends on what you make of it. If all you do is party, show up late to scenes, complain on set and online, etc., then your work is going to reflect that.
If you show up, have a great attitude, are professional, promote your scenes, etc., then you go so much further. My experience has been great. It had a little bit of a slow start, but even then I would stay positive, promote my scenes, and always look to improve in every way I can.
I work really hard on my physical appearance, and I always strive to maintain a great working relationship with every director, crew member, scene partner, etc. It has been a dream, and it keeps getting better.
I’ve read that you had a pretty successful career as a stripper before getting into porn. Do you do any feature dancing or, if not, any plans to do any of that?
I did! It was so much fun as well. I love dancing and took pole and Lyra classes for the longest time before I moved to Los Angeles. I don’t currently feature dance but I absolutely plan to in the future. I love choosing my own music, dressing up in unique lingerie/ costumes, and putting on a show while flirting with people from the stage.
I can’t wait to eventually start feature dancing, and I’ll be sure to let everyone know when I do!
While they might not admit to it, a lot of dudes watch porn to try and find ways to get better at sex. What’s the number one piece of advice you’d give to the average guy in terms of being upping his sex game?
I believe that watching porn can definitely help; and of course I always say that Google is your best friend. Haha. Also a big part of upping your sex game, If you have a partner, is to talk to them and get an idea of what they like, have a conversation and spice things up with little things you know they’ll love. And LOTS of foreplay.
What was the best non-porn movie that you saw this year?
Don’t laugh at me, but I actually really liked Split. Haha. I love psychological thrillers/ horror movies. Solace is also a good movie if you get the chance to watch it.
Any big plans for 2018, either with your porn career or in your personal life?
I’m going to grow a lot more in 2018. I’ve shot with a lot more companies for the first time, I’m a return performer on many websites because of my performance, attitude, and fan demand, I have a lot of firsts planned in the next few months as well. I’m definitely going to be on everyone’s radar.
When it comes to plans in my personal life, all I want is to travel more and remain as happy and content with life as I am now. I feel like I have everything I want, I’m with the best agent in the industry (Spiegler), I’m living in one of the most exciting cities in the U.S. with the most supportive boyfriend and my kitten.
I’m making great money all while being increasingly successful month after month in the porn industry. Everything is exactly how I want it.
