Star Del Ray is a Scottish porn starlet who’s just getting her start in the business. To be honest, I wasn’t at all familiar with her work before she got in touch with me asking if I’d be interested in interviewing her for Die-Screaming. After doing some quick research, I decided that Ms. Del Ray is absolutely someone that all of you should know more about.

Die-Screaming: I think it’s fair to say that most of the people reading this aren’t at all familiar with you or your work. Could you give us a bit of an introduction to who you are and how you got your start in porn?
Star Del Ray: My name’s Star Del Ray. I from the east coast of Scotland in a little town, near the country’s capital. I started in porn quite recently and things seem to be moving at the speed of light. I’d always expected I would work in something a little kinky so the adult industry made a lot of sense. Never saw myself as a nine-to-five type of girl, I’d just get bored. I’ve been lucky in this industry and met some kind people who have helped mentor me and give me sound advice.
I don’t hear of very many Scottish pornstars. Is that accurate or is there a bigger XXX Scottish scene that I’m just ignorant about?
Alexis May, Amanda Rendall, Ryan Ryder and Skin Diamond (part Scottish I believe) was actually brought up moments away from my childhood home. I even think Stoya has some Scottish lineage, but I have to admit you are right. There’s not many Scots out there, we’re pretty rare. We don’t have a scene in the country at all so I live in England now and I’m finding myself travelling frequently.
If you were to direct your own XXX showcase movie, what type of scenes would you perform?
I love having multiple partners, so ideally gangbang type stuff, but I’m not the most submissive person. I’d probably find myself trying to dominate four guys. As far as the setup is concerned I feel porn has ignored the teasing element. A relatable storyline is essential, like taking some guys home after a hard night’s clubbing. I could definitely see myself doing that. I’ve DONE that!
As someone who’s relatively new to the porn industry, what’s been the hardest part for you so far with all of this?
Building a fanbase and getting your image out there. There’s so many social media platforms and it’s next to impossible to focus on everything simultaneously. However, I do make an effort to be as interactive as possible and reply to fan mail, even if it takes out a couple of hour in the day. I believe if someone has taken the time to write to you the least I can do is try to write something back in return. The sex on camera is the easy part, I love that!
What types of porn do you watch? Any favorite performers?
I watch an unusual amount of porn, every single day and I watch every genre imaginable. From UFC femdom to really artist softcore. I find it more educational than sexual. I like to keep up with the industry and see what everyone else likes.
I watched the xHamster series, Sex Factor and I really liked the female performer that won the competition, Blair Williams. I loved her laid-back attitude and how sexually confident she is on camera.
When you’re not doing sexy porn-type stuff, what do you do for fun or to relax?
I like to eat out at nice places and I love travelling. As a result Paris is one of my all time favourite places. The food is phenomenal and there’s something that really warms my heart; Walking along the Sienne at night or shopping at the Champs Elysees.
Hopefully, all of the people reading this will start writing letters to porn studios, directors and local politicians demanding to see you cast in some hardcore films. To help them out, what would you say sets you apart from other performers?
The things that make me different? I pay attention to what people want to see. I regularly ask fans and make an effort to see what’s trending in the country. Trying to be totally interactive with the internet community is difficult but it has it’s rewards.
For example, a fan graphically designed a really excellent caricature of me, so we had it made into a t-shirt for him just as a thank-you. As you mentioned there’s not many girls hailing from Scotland and it’s a very sexy accent to hear on and off camera.
For anyone who wants to see more of you and your stuff, where should they be looking?
I’m on Twitter and Instragram. I also just started an OnlyFans page, which I’m literally adding content to as we speak. For some of my first amateur porn, I have a PornHub page. More recently, I’m also on Xhamster. An I have a WordPress site under construction which will be finished next year, where the bulk of my content will be hosted with a members area.
