A few weeks ago, I posted the news of Axel Braun and Wicked Pictures planning on releasing a Spideypool porn parody. At the time, the only confirmed casting decision was Seth Gamble in the role of Deadpool. Now we a have a bit more news; Kenna James has been cast in the role of Mary Jane Watson.
The upcoming film will be directed by Axel Braun and will features two of Marvel Comics’ most popular characters — Spider-Man and Deadpool — teaming up in an XXX-rated superhero buddy action/porn mashup. The concept of a Spider-Man and Deadpool bromance is something that’s rooted in the comic books. Marvel published a Spider-Man/Deadpool series of comics that spanned 50 issues and featured the two heroes teaming up on all sorts of misadventures.
Axel Braun is well versed with both Deadpool and Spider-Man. After all, Axel essentially created the majority of the Marvel Comics Porn Universe and has crafted several XXX-rated films that feature both characters. Seth Gamble has played the role of the ‘Merc with a Mouth in Deadpool XXX, Wolverine XXX and Captain Marvel XXX. As for Spider-Man, that role had been played by Xander Corvus is several of Braun’s Marvel movies but Corvus won’t be returning to the role for Spideypool.
Kenna James as Mary Jane Watson…
Casting Kenna James as Mary Jane certainly gives Axel Braun’s Spideypool film a strong injection of hardcore superstardom. An XXX veteran with well over 500 adult videos to her credit, Kenna is probably best known for her Girl/Girl work. That being said, she has in recent years moved more into Boy/Girl work, performing in such films as First Anal Vol. 10 (Tushy), Pretty Little Sluts 3 (Jules Jordan Video) and Wild Things XXX (VRconk).
Since making her hardcore debut back in 2014, Kenna James has either won or been nominated for every major adult industry award ever invented. AVN and XBIZ both gave her Girl/Girl Performer of the Year nods three times, she won the 2020 XBIZ Best Supporting Actress trophy and was nominated for the highly coveted 2021 AVN Female Performer of the Year award. So having her take on the role of a character as sexy as Mary Jane Watson is pretty exciting.
In talking about her landing the part of MJ in a press release, this is what Kenna had to say…
I’m deeply honored to have been chosen to play Mary Jane; it just blows my mind that out of so many actresses, Axel picked me. My peers within the industry are very good at what they do; we have so many talented people, and I don’t take it lightly that I was given this amazing opportunity. Also, I’ve been a huge Spider-Man fan my entire life, so the chance to play this role for an Axel Braun parody is absolutely a dream come true.
According to the same press release that Wicked Pictures sent to XBIZ but not to me, 71 starlets submitted audition tapes for the role of Mary Jane. According to Axel Braun, Kenna James’ video stood out among all of the others, with the director saying that Kenna’s performance was “on a whole different level.” Spideypool co-star Seth Gamble seemed pumped to have Kenna joining the cast, saying…
Kenna was an inspired choice. She’s an amazing actress, and she has great comedic timing. Did I mention that she’s also super-hot? No? Well, she is ridiculously hot, and for sure the sexiest Mary Jane Watson ever seen in a live-action film. Axel showed me her audition, and all I could say was “Holy shit!” Yeah, it was that good. I’m stoked to share the screen with her in this project and looking forward to some epic awesomeness.
