Hysteria (2022)
Written and directed by Stormy Daniels and produced by the legendary Axel Braun, Hysteria is the story of Anna (Aiden Ashley), an author, and Christine (Anna Claire Clouds), an artist. On the surface, this loving couple’s marriage appears to be harmonious and beautiful, but beneath this veneer of domestic bliss lurks an undercurrent of mistrust that threatens to consume their relationship. It’s a great return to form for Stormy and a perfect way to the make the glorious comeback where she belongs…in the Wicked family!

Back in February, I told you about how Stormy Daniels was making her long-awaited return to Porn and had signed an exclusive contract with Wicked Pictures. Now, the first film of hers to come out of that deal is upon us and it’s called Hysteria. From top to bottom, the movie is loaded with A-list type talent. And as the first Stormy Daniels directed XXX feature that we’ve had in several years…I’m so down for this.
Now, some of you may have either forgotten or perhaps never knew that Stormy Daniels is a highly acclaimed, award-winning writer and director. Yes, she is probably best known for her work in front of the camera. But this woman needs to be considered an elite-level director and erotic story teller. For further evidence of this, just go check out some of the other films she’s helmed, including One Step Ahead, Indiscretion or Weekend To Remember. I’d also highly recommend spending some time with Wanted, which is perhaps the best overall showcase of her talent to date.
Hysteria | Why should you care?
Hysteria is a big deal for a few reasons. I already talked about how it represents the return of Stormy Daniels to the director’s chair and why that is so awesome. Beyond that, though, the lineup of talent featured in this movie is just incredible. The film stars Aiden Ashley and Anna Claire Clouds. Aiden is easily one of the most talented women currently working in all of smut and has already put up multiple Best Actress-worthy performances this year in films such as Maid To Kill (Sparks Entertainment) and The Rose Retreat (All Her Luv).
And Anna Claire Clouds could very well be the industry’s best and brightest new talents. Ranked by Die-Screaming as one of the ten best new starlets of 2021, Anna Claire has already put together a 2022 campaign that deserves serious Female Performer of the Year consideration. I mean, just go see what she did in The Seductress 3 (Sweet Sinner), The Smut Factor 1 (Smut Factor) or Interracial Crush 6 (Elegant Angel).
In talking about the level of talent this cast brings to Hysteria, this is what Stormy Daniels had to say about things…
I was excited to work with some of the new talent. Which is why my cast is a blend of newer stars and veterans. Seth, of course, needs no introduction; he’s the best male actor in the industry, and I knew I wanted to work with Aiden again. She was brilliant and 100% authentic. And Anna Claire is, seriously, my favorite new actress. My crew had some new members as well, including the amazing James Avalon, with whom I’d never worked despite all my years in the business. It was a wonderful experience and his camerawork looks terrific.
Casey Calvert and Charly Summer being part of Hysteria is another very good reason for you to spare some care for this movie. Herself a highly-respected director, Casey Calvert might very well be the most all around talented people to have worked in porn over the past twenty years. A recent example of her in action is The Wife Watcher (Adam & Eve). As for Charly Summer, who is also a badass, go see for yourself how incredible of a performer she is by watching her scenes in Dredd 13 (Jules Jordan Video) or Sexual Icons (Hard X).
