A few weeks ago, I came across a brief press release for Green Lantern Girl XXX. Then I received a few emails from people asking if I knew anything about it. Aside from what I read in that initial press release, I really didn’t know much else about this new comic book themed porn parody. So, me being curious, I reached out to the guys behind the movie; Tyr Garm and Ron Hunt. Wanting to know more about Green Lantern Girls XXX and Bald Eagle Productions, the studio responsible for the porn film, I asked each of them a few questions.
Green Lantern Girl XXX stars Taylor Raz in the title role. Along the way, she ends up crossing paths with Madame Malice (Kendra James) and BAD Girl (Amiee Cambridge). While the porn film is obviously based on the iconic DC Comics character, you won’t find any men appearing in Green Lantern Girl XXX. In addition to being an all-girl, superpowered lesbian romp, the film is also heavy on the fetish stuff. To provide a little more detail around the story behind the parody, here’s the official plot summary, as quoted from the official Green Lantern Girl website…
Green Lantern Girl fights, defeats and captures Madame Malice. The heroine turns the villainess over to ADA Sweetspot. ADA Sweetspot and Green Lantern Girl have victory sex. Through corruption, Madame Malice evades justice. ADA Sweetspot joins Madame Malice as the evil sidekick, BAD Girl. The evil pair defeats, depowers, captures and has a lot of fun with Green Lantern Girl. Oh no! Is this the end?
I mentioned above that I had the opportunity to interview both Ron Hunt and Tyr Garm. After a few email exchanges, the two graciously agreed to answer some of the questions that I had about Green Lantern Girl XXX. Here’s how that went…
Die- Screaming: How did you come up with the idea for Green Lantern Girl XXX?
Tyr Garm: I wrote Green Lantern Girl XXX to accomplish three things. The plot tells a fun, campy story in the shadow of TV superheroines like Batgirl (Yvonne Craig), Isis, Electra Woman and Dyna Girl and Wonder Woman (Lynda Carter). Second, the audience enjoys well shot and played girl on girl soft core, hard core and bondage – domination porn. Finally, I wanted to poke some fun at recent events, maybe make a point or two.
The choice of Green Lantern Girl came from Taylor Raz. Taylor’s earlier portrayals of Green Lantern Girl impressed me. A skilled actress, Taylor plays the role with great facial expressions, sass, sexiness and vulnerability.
Studios like Vivid, Hustler, and Extreme Comixxx have built up a large collection of porn parodies based on comic book characters? Is this something that you and Bald Eagle Productions are also looking to do?
Tyr Garm: I have made one other girl on girl adult content superheroine film with another production company. I would like to make another Green Lantern Girl film with Bald Eagle Productions. I hope to make a boy/girl hardcore porn production of either Isis or Electra Woman and Dyna Girl in the future.
Ron Hunt: The Tropic City Heroines (TropicCityHeroines.com) brand created by Bald Eagle Productions does have a variety of parodies already available, ranging from Wonder Woman to Robin and a lot in between. We have used some well-known fetish models, including Kendra James, Megan Jones, Katie Cummings, Vanessa Cage, Wenona, Catherine Fox and Alexis Grace along with quite a few newcomers.
For those of us not familiar with Bald Eagle Productions, could you give us a bit of an introduction?
Ron Hunt: Bald Eagle Productions was formed in early 2004 as a photography company. It quickly changed into a Fetish video production company. We started out with Foot Fetish videos. Along the way, we added balloon and solo girl fetishes. Soon, we were shooting many different types of fetishes including domination. This led to our interest in the Superheroine genre and being fans of comics and comic book based movies, in early 2011 we began shooting Superheroine parodies.
Tyr Garm: I should explain my relationship with Ron Hunt. I wrote the script and paid the costs for Green Lantern Girl XXX. After reading the script, Ron Hunt agreed to take on the project. He handled the hiring, shooting and film editing. We work together on casting, scoring and marketing. Sales revenues are shared.
Ron Hunt has shot a number of superheroine adult content films for his online company Tropic City Heroines located at http://clips4sale.com/studio/44267/ . His adult content has a nice sensual touch. He works with a variety of adult themes including fights, bondage, domination, strip tease and of course sex.
Ron Hunt’s skills brought my written vision to life. He sought out and set up the sets. The film brilliantly captures superheroine themes like fights, classic captures, helplessness, good turned to evil, campy dialogue and peril. He crafted a trailer, screener and sales website. His skills make him a great asset to any project.
When was the production company started? Do you have any other films on the market besides Green Lantern XXX?
Tyr Garm: I currently have one other girl on girl superheroine production on the market. Because I made this second film with a different production company, I think I should comment on that production another time.
Ron Hunt: As previously mentioned, Bald Eagle Productions was started in 2004 and we have various parodies available via our clip sales store.
Many of the readers of Die-Screaming are comic book fans in general, and Green Lantern fans specifically. Is Green Lantern Girl XXX something that would appeal to this type of audience?
Tyr Garm: I think that will depend a lot on each individual fan’s tastes. Green Lantern fans will recognize a power ring as the heroine’s power source. As in the comic, removing the ring makes the heroine helpless. The ring make is accurate. The heroine is portrayed as flying under her own power. The costume has appropriate GL colors and emblems.
