Vivid Entertainment has announced that it now owns the Farrah Abraham and James Deen sex tape. The infamous video, which has been the talk of the tabloids of late, was purchased by Vivid and will be released in May, both online and on DVD and will be marketed under the title of Farrah Superstar: Backdoor Teen Mom.
And while Farrah Abraham says she never intended the video to go public (nobody believes this), she’s certainly going to make a lot of money now that it is. Will it be as profitable or as popular as the Pamela Anderson/Tommy Lee sex tape? Probably not.
For those who aren’t familiar with Farrah Abraham, she became famous at the age of 16 as the star of MTV’s Teen Mom series. Since then, she’s been a tabloid sensation. Now at age 21, the “secret” sex tape that she made with pornstar James Deen has been all some have been talking about after it was leaked to the media several weeks ago. While not giving any exact details in terms of how much it paid for the rights to the sex tape, Vivid has confirmed that Abraham got a check for an amount “in the high six-figures”.
In talking about why his company decided to spend a small fortune on purchasing the rights to the Farrah Abraham sex tape, Vivid’s founder and co-chairman Steven Hirsch had this to say…
I’m happy to confirm that we have purchased it. We went after this movie as vigorously as any sex tape we’ve ever pursued. We felt it was definitely worth it, not only because of Farrah’s popularity, but because the footage itself is amazing. Farrah’s looks remind me of a young Kim Kardashian, and we all know how her story turned out.
While I haven’t yet seen any of the footage on the tape, it’s being reported that it’s of a very high quality and is extremely explicit. In addition to other things, the video contains an anal sex scene, leading Vivid to title the video, Farrah Superstar: Backdoor Teen Mom. Vivid plans on releasing the video online to it’s paysite members on May 6th and the a full DVD release on May 14th.
