Pornstar Dakota Skye confirmed dead at age 27…
Dakota Skye, the popular XXX starlet, has passed away at age 27. According to members of her family, Dakota died at around 2pm on June 9th. While an official cause of death hasn’t yet been released (at least not that I’ve seen), it’s believed that she may have suffered some sort of overdose based on some statements made by her family.
After news of Dakota’s passing was made public, her aunt posted the following comment to Dakota’s personal Facebook page…
This is truly a tragedy. If you are suffering from addiction, I beg you to get help!
Additionally, just days before her death, Dakota had taken to Twitter to express outrage at some unflattering things that had been written about her on a Porn gossip site and about some money that she says someone had stolen…
Who is Dakota Skye?
Dakota Skye was an American adult film starlet who began her career in Porn back in 2013. Known for her super hardcore scenes and extremely petite build, Dakota quickly achieved success within the industry. She was nominated for multiple major awards, including Best New Starlet nods from AVN, XBIZ and XRCO. Die-Screaming ranked her as being one of the Top 10 Best New Pornstars of 2014.
And while her XXX career took off like a rocket, it began to sputter out fairly quickly. In 2015, Dakota briefly “retired” from Porn only to announce her return to the industry a few months later. Additionally, she faced a series of legal issues around the use of the name “Dakota Skye” and, for a time, changed her stage name to just “Dakota”. While she continued to perform in adult films up until this year, at times delivering some incredible scenes, she never seemed to re-capture the superstardom that she achieved at the start of her career.
Between 2014 and 2021, Dakota Skye performed in about 300 hardcore scenes. She also maintained an Onlyfans account and would routinely do feature dancing gigs around the United States.

I always admired Dakota Skye as a performer. Obviously, this was a woman who was dealing with more than her fair share of demons and maybe in the end, some of those devils caught up to her. The world is a darker place without Dakota and she will be missed. May she rest easy.
