Briana Banks is certified porn royalty. Between 1999 and 2010, Ms. Banks established herself as one of the most famous, most successful, and most popular female pornstars of all time before retiring. Then, last December, after five years away from the industry, Briana Banks made headlines when she announced she was re-launching her XXX career. And now she’s back.
I recently had the opportunity to ask Briana Banks a bunch of questions, focusing on her return to smut and what we should expect from her going forward. This is how that went…
Briana Banks: The Die-Screaming interview…
Die-Screaming: After five years away from the industry, what made you decide that now was the right time to return to porn?
Briana Banks: I felt I was at a good point in my life again to come back to the industry I loved and all the amazing fans I’d missed so dearly.
Considering all that you’ve already accomplished and the fact that so many already view you as an XXX icon, what kind of goals do you have for yourself now?
Right now I want to get my name and brand back out there, as well as regaining my fans and gaining new ones. After that who knows what the future holds. I have lots of goals and plans but I’m not ready to share them all just yet.
Since you’ve been back, have you noticed any major changes within the industry or is it pretty much the same?
It’s totally different. Social media has changed the way I interact with fans and has made me more accessible. I’m still meeting all the new talent and catching up on the new styles and trends of shooting.
When you made your comeback, your debut scene was for ArchAngel and with Manuel Ferrara. What was that experience like?
It was amazing. I was nervous for my very first scene back of course. Manuel, whom I’ve worked with before, and MimeFreak the director couldn’t have made me feel more comfortable. I had a great scene which reassured me that I made the right decision coming back.
Are there any performers, male or female, that you haven’t yet worked with but want to?
Lots.. Jessica Jaymes, Kendra Lust, Johnny Sinns, Toni Ribas, Ramon Nomar, Van Wylde, just to name a few! I’m finding out about more stars that I want to work with as I go.
I’ve read that you consider yourself in the best shape of your life. What kind of things have you done to accomplish that?
I’ve got my head together first off… LOL. But I train two to three hours a day, six days a week. I lost 30 pounds before I shot my first scene back.
With all the experience that you have, have you given any thought to or have any desire to try directing?
Definitely in the future. I know a lot but a lot has changed so there is much to learn!
Can you talk at all about what your next film or scene will be?
I’ll be shooting my first anal in the end of May. That’s all I can say about that right now.
Last question. What should your fans expect to see from you going forward?
My fans can expect the same enthusiasm and awesome scenes I always put out. My fans mean the world to me and I am glad to be back️.
