Brad Armstrong Signs with Vixen

The legendary XXX director is now exclusive with Vixen Media Group…

Brad Armstrong is taking his directing talents to Vixen. The studio has signed Armstrong to an exclusive six month contract that will have him helming multiple big budget scenes. This, my people, is some really big news. I say that because Brad Armstrong is arguably the greatest adult film director of all time.

By whatever metric you want to use — number of films sold, major industry awards, critical acclaim, etc. — Brad Armstrong wins. So for Vixen to have landed this dude to an exclusive directing contract…that’s huge.

It also marks the end of an era. Since the late-1990s, Brad Armstrong has been with Wicked Pictures and produced for that studio some of the most groundbreaking, best-selling and most beloved adult films ever made. But things change (Wicked Pictures was just bought by Gamma Entertainment and Axel Braun announced as the studio’s new Head of Production) and now for the first time in a generation, Brad Armstrong will be making movies under a new banner.

Brad Armstrong + Vixen Media Group

According to the press release I received, Brad Armstrong’s new deal doesn’t start with Vixen until May. However, he’s apparently already directed a number of scenes for the studio, with the first of those set to debut on Vixen’s member site later this week. That film is called Love Triangle and features Naomi Swann, Avery Christy and Mick Blue.

And because Mother always told me to “work smarter not harder”, I’m just gonna now copy/paste a bunch of quotes and shit from the press release. This is what Brad Armstrong had to say…

“I was pretty sure my career as a director was over. Gone were the days of big-budget features. I was on my way to retire on a secluded beach in the Bahamas and just as I was packing my last suitcase, Steve and Mike at VMG reached out.

I had an incredible relationship with Steve Orenstein at Wicked Pictures that spanned 25-plus years. Those memories will always be nearest and dearest to me, but looking forward, I’m excited to see what this new chapter with VMG brings and can’t wait to get started on some amazing new projects for 2021.

And here’s what Mike Miller, Executive Producer for Vixen Media Group (VMG), had to say about things…

We are excited to bring Brad into the VMG director lineup. After a thorough vetting with our creative team, he had the balls to print out every industry award he’s ever won, drop it on the table, and told us all to go fuck ourselves.

We love this guy. And we think the fans will, too.

I’m actually super-excited about all of this. It made me a little sick when I was putting together the 10 Best Porn Movies of 2020 list and not seeing a Brad Armstrong directed film on there. For as long as I’ve been putting those annual rankings together, Brad has always had at least one film at or near the #1 position. Just another reason 2020 will be remembered a flaming paper bag of hobo shit.

What do you think?

What are your thoughts on all of this Brad Armstrong madness? I don’t really care but the evil demon (a literal fucking demon, y’all) that secretly runs this site beats me if I don’t ask that at the end of every blog post.
