10. Dan Damage
In his first full year working in Porn, all Dan Damage did was earn himself a spot on Die-Screaming’s Top 10 Best Male Pornstars of 2023 countdown. He did that by being fucking awesome across the whole damn year. Highlights of his would surely include performances in such bangers as Tushy Raw V54 (Tushy), Barbie: A Porn Parody (VRConk), and Hot For My Step Mom (Digital Sin). For his efforts, AVN recognized him with eight 2024 award nominations, including its Best Male Newcomer award.
9. Hollywood Cash
For anyone paying attention to smut in 2023, it was impossible to recognize the impact of Hollywood Cash. Armed with a cock big enough to be used as an effective weapon in a bar fight, Hollywood wasted zero time in pounding out some of the best hardcore scenes of the year. He earned himself a collective 15 2024 XBIZ and AVN award nominations, a mind-boggling total considering this guy just started doing Porn last year. Some of his best work was in Unbound (Brazzers), Deep Inside Jennifer White (Evil Angel), and Throat Fucks 8 (Evil Angel).
8. JMac
A hardcore O.G. with nearly two decades of time served in the Porn industry, JMac served up one of the best years of his career in 2023. He was awesome in Share My Boyfriend Vol. 33 (MOFOS), MILF Hunter Vol. 41 (Reality Kings), and Luna Star: Seduce & Destroy (Brazzers). That culminated in him earning his first AVN Male Performer of the Year nomination, a fact that is both kind of shocking and also an indication of just how awesome JMac was this year.
7. Seth Gamble
When Seth Gamble finally decides to call it a career, he’ll no doubt be considered one of the greatest male pornstars of all time. However, he isn’t done yet and 2023 was another outstanding year for this man. Not even taking his impressive directorial efforts into consideration, Seth was a monster throughout the previous dozen months. If you need proof, just go see what he did in such films as American Stud (Wicked Pictures), Anal Antics 4 (Evil Angel), and Privilege Part 1 (Wicked Pictures).
6. Zac Wild
Zac Wild has been doing Porn for a full decade and it seems that he gets better each year. 2023 was no exception, as Zac put together a brilliant XXX campaign and starred in some of the biggest and most acclaimed releases of the year. Like what? Well, how about his scenes in Brand New Girls Vol. 2 (Elegant Angel), Performers of the Year 2022 (Elegant Angel), and Anal Savages 9 (Evil Angel)? Those are just three examples, but he was slaying for the entire year and has multiple Male Performer of the Year nominations to prove it.
5. Ramon Nomar
Ramon Nomar has been doing Porn since the damn Nineties. And most lesser studs would have called it quits long ago, Ramon is still going strong enough to secure a spot in this year’s Top 5. He delivered a ridiculous amount of top-tier scenes all across 2023, including those that he served up in Horny Hotwife Vol. 1 (Elegant Angel), Make My Hotwife Squirt (New Sensations), and Anal.Oil.Latex. 3 (Evil Angel). He capped the year off by receiving his eleventh AVN Male Performer of the Year nomination.
4. Alex Jones
Alex Jones has been working in the dirty movie business since 2011 and this might have been his best year yet. It’s not just me who thinks that; AVN just nominated Alex for his very first Male Performer of the Year trophy. The acclaim is well-deserved. He was magnificent in such 2023 films as Machine Gunner (Digital Playground), Superstar Room Vol. 2 (Ricky’s Room), and Feed Me (AdultTime). If you weren’t already thinking of Alex Jones as one of the industry’s most elite superstars, now is probably the time to start.
3. Isiah Maxwell
There is a strong argument to be made that Isiah Maxwell is one of the most talented adult film stars of the past 25 years. The stuff that he did in 2023 only helped to make such an argument even stronger. Isiah brought all the fire to scenes in Stunning Beauties (DarkX), Anal Antics 4 (Evil Angel), and More (Dorcel). Mr. Maxwell has been nominated for AVN’s Male Performer of the Year four times and I’d be willing to bet my porn blogger salary that this is the year that he finally wins the trophy.
2. Vince Karter
You might say that Vince Karter has long been one of the most popular men in the European porn scene and I might say that you were right. Increasingly, and especially in 2023, Vince is now performing for US-based adult film studios and establishing himself as one of the most in-demand stars on either side of the Atlantic Ocean. He delivered incredible showings in such films as In Vogue (Vixen), Anal For Days (Evil Angel), and Big Naturals Vol. 68 (Reality Kings). There aren’t many legit worldwide superstars in Porn but Vince Karter is certainly one of them.
1. Mick Blue
Mick Blue is Die-Screaming’s pick for best male pornstar of 2023. This is the third consecutive year that Mick has held the top spot on these rankings. From start to finish, Mick was an XXX machine, performing in hundreds of hardcore scenes for the biggest studios in Porn. Highlights of his 2023 would include such scorchers as Brand New Girls Vol. 2 (Elegant Angel), Sexual Icons Vol. 3 (HardX), and Uncut 21 (Evil Angel). At some point, Mick Blue will have to pass his crown as the industry’s most dominant male superstar but, until that happens, long live King Mick.
About this year’s Top 10 Best Male Pornstar rankings…
Ranking humans against other humans is one of the stupidest things anyone could attempt. And here I am doing exactly that. I’m very aware of how dumb most Top 10 lists of any kind are but I also believe that they can be used as a tool for good, hopefully as it is in this case, to showcase some of the very best and most talented XXX performers out there. In general, male pornstars rarely get the kudos they so rightfully deserve and so I hope that this list helps in some small way to right that wrong.
2023 is my tenth year assembling these Top 10 Male Pornstar rankings. Each year, I score XXX studs against a dozen categories and then use a scoring algorithm to come up with final scores for each performer. The ten dudes you see above are the ones who scored the highest. I won’t give you my exact scoring model (because I am mysterious!), but I can give you some statistical tidbits to help provide some additional context to the rankings.
- This year, 50 men were ranked. 4 guys were each three points or less away from making their way into the Top 10.
- 50% of the performers on this year’s Top 10 also earned spots on the 2022 rankings.
- The smallest gap in points between any two consecutive positions in the Top 10 was between #6 and #7, which had just 0.5 points between them. The largest distance was between positions #1 and #2, which were separated by 8.2 points.
- 27.4 points separated positions #1 and #10.

Listen, there’s no such thing as a perfect Top 10 list. That being said, I’m willing to stand by the rankings that I’ve presented above. I’ve watched a LOT of XXX-rated films in 2023 and I think I know what I’m talking about. But you probably disagree. That’s fine.
