10. Elsa Jean
In addition to making this Top 10 list, Elsa Jean also was ranked as Die-Screaming’s #1 New Porn Starlet of 2016. This young lady has proven herself to be something special, appearing in over one-hundred XXX movies this year, including some of the year’s best. Her performances in films like A Soft Touch 2 (Digital Sin) and All Natural Saints (Hustler) helped earn her a nice collection of AVN and XBIZ nominations, including Best New Starlet.
9. Aidra Fox
An AVN Female Performer of the Year nominee, Aidra Fox had a hugely impressive 2016. Two of her best performances came in the movies Gangbanged 7 (Elegant Angel) and Aidra Fox is Slutwoman (Elegant Angel). Ms. Fox delivered critically-acclaimed performances in both and each are perfect examples of why this talented woman is one of the most elite talents currently working in smut.
8. Cherie DeVille
I don’t think anyone in porn had a better year than Cherie DeVille. In addition to being nominated for MILF of the Year by AVN, XBIZ and NightMoves, Ms. DeVille also had some of the hottest performances of 2016. Much of her best work was for Girlsway, in films such as Project Pandora and The Runaway. Oh, and she also happens to be Die-Screaming’s #1 ranked MILF Pornstar of 2016.
7. Anikka Albrite
There’s no disputing that Anikka Albrite is one of the XXX industry’s biggest stars. In 2016, she had one of her biggest years yet, performing in one of the best-selling films of the year; Babysitting the Baumgartners (Adam & Eve). She also delivered powerful scenes in movies such as Anikka’s Fuck-it List (Evil Angel) and Anikka VS Kelsi (Hard X). These performances helped earn her a whole mess of AVN and XBIZ award nominations, including Female Performer of the Year and Best Actress.
6. Riley Reid
The reigning AVN Female Performer of the Year, Riley Reid is also unquestionably one of the most talented, successful and popular XXX starlets of the past half decade. In 2016, she was featured in some of the year’s hottest releases, including Missing: A Lesbian Crime Story (Girlsway), Riley Reid: Overexposed (Adam & Eve) and Young & Beautiful (Vixen). Once again, Ms. Reid is also an AVN and XBIZ Female Performer of the Year nominee and stands a pretty decent shot of winning both.
5. Katrina Jade
If you were to ask me whom I thought were some of the most talented women in porn, Katrina Jade would be the first person I would name. Over the previous twelve months, Ms. Jade gave us some of the hottest goddamn sex scenes of the year with her performances in films like Orgy Masters 8 (Jules Jordan Video) and A Gonzo Story: Creampie Virgin (Girlfriends Films). Earlier this year, she received an impressive six Inked Award nominations and is also up for the AVN and XBIZ Female Performer of the Year trophies.
4. Sara Luvv
Coming into 2016, Sara Luvv was certainly considered to be one of the top talents in porn. However, after her breakout performance in Babysitting the Baumgartners (Adam & Eve), she’s firmly established herself as a certified superstar who is second to none when it comes to XXX and acting abilities. If you weren’t already paying attention to this young lady, you had better start as she is on the verge of being a very big deal within the smut industry.
3. AJ Applegate
AJ Applegate has had several very good years in porn, but in 2016 she may have had her best yet. The highlight of her year had to be AJ’s Angels (ArchAngel Productions), her showcase film that she co-directed along with MimeFreak and in which she performed four of the hottest lesbian scenes your or I could ever hope to see. She also had memorable roles in movies such as Lefty (Sweetheart Video) and My First Black Gangbang (Third Degree Films).
2. Abella Danger
In very short order, Abella Danger has earned a spot as one of the most dominant and successful women currently working in dirty movies. In 2016, she won the NightMoves award for Best Female Performer and is a Female Performer of the Year nominee with AVN and XBIZ. And if you saw her performances in films such as Best New Starlets 2016 (Elegant Angel), Riley & Abella (Adam & Eve) and Manuel’s POV Vol. 2: All Anal (Hard X), you’d understand why she’s widely considered to be a favorite to win at least one of those trophies.
1. Adriana Chechik
Adriana Chechik is Die-Screaming’s #1 Female Pornstar of 2016. Simply put, Ms. Chechik is an absolute force of nature within the world of porn and her performances are consistently some of the most intense and powerful that we have seen from any performer ever. Over the past twelve months, she gave us plenty of jaw-dropping hardcore scenes, especially in films like Color Blind (Girlfriends Films), Make Me Gape (Hard X) and Adriana Chechik: The Ultimate Slut (Evil Angel).
About this year’s Best Female Pornstar rankings…
This is the third year that I’ve assembled these Best Female Pornstar rankings for Die-Screaming. And while you might think that I just randomly picked ten XXX starlets to fill out this list…I didn’t. Actually, I scored sixty female pornstars across seven categories and then plugged those numbers into a formula to calculate an overall score for each woman. The ladies with the ten highest scores, from high to low, are the ones you see above.
And, yes, it was the same exact formula and scoring model that I used last year.
I won’t give you the exact details of what my scoring system looks like (because it’s a SEEEECRET!), but I will give you some worthless statistics that you can use to impress your family at your next dinner gathering. Positions #1 and #10 were separated by only 5.3 points. Three pornstars were less than 2 points away from making the Top 10. Five of the women appearing in this year’s rankings also appeared in last year’s Top 10.
