The best-selling erotic novel is being made into an XXX film…
Babysitting the Baumgartners might just be the most anticipated feature porn movie of 2016. Based on Selena Kitt’s best-selling novel and directed by Kay Brandt, the film stars real-life husband and wife porn supercouple Anikka Albrite and Mick Blue. And considering that over one million copies of this book have been sold, there are no doubt a whole lot of people out there who are very anxious to see this flick.
Production on Babysitting the Baumgartners just finished, but you can bet that the movie will be in the running for Feature Film of the Year at all of the major porn award shows. Why? Because all of the ingredients are right there.
I already mentioned that this is the XXX adaption of a hugely popular, best-selling erotic novel. Add to that an all-star cast that features Anikka Albrite, Mick Blue, Sara Luvv, and AJ Applegate. And did I mention that this is a porn movie with twelve (yes…12!) hardcore sex scenes? All of these things together equals something that can rightly be described as “epic.”
For those not familiar with Kay Brandt, she also directed Safe Landings for Adam & Eve. That film ended up being one of the most acclaimed feature porn movies of 2015. And like this movie, Safe Landings was also based on a popular best-selling book. All of this is to say that Ms. Brandt has some experience when it comes to projects like this.
In talking about why she made the decision to give Adam & Eve permission to make the XXX adaptation of her book (this is not a porn parody, by the way), this is what Babysitting the Baumgartners author Selena Kitt had to say…
I’ve been approached before about making my books into adult films, but I’ve never felt right about it until now. Why now? Because it’s in the hands of Kay Brandt, who has won awards for directing adult films, and Adam and Eve, a long-standing brand I know and trust.
Originally, Ryan Driller had been cast in the role of “Doc” Baumgartner, however, after becoming very ill at the last moment, Mick Blue was brought in to fill the part.
I haven’t seen an official release date for Babysitting the Baumgartners yet, but the movie is expected to debut at some point this year. As additional news/trailers/etc. become available, I’ll be sure to pass it along. Or maybe I won’t. Did I mention my occasional binge drinking problem?
