At the height of the swinging sixties, Dr. Evil plans to destroy the world. There’s only one person who can stop him, the international man of mystery himself, Austin Powers. After Dr. Evil tries to have Austin assassinated, the plan backfires and Evil escapes into space. Austin has himself cryogenically frozen to await Evil’s return. Thirty years later, Evil comes back to earth, Austin is unfrozen, and with the help of comely young agent Vanessa Kensington, (and four facials and a bangin’ four-way), Powers sets about trying to rid the world of Evil…Dr.Evil…yet again.

Austin Powers XXX has finally been released by Vivid Entertainment. I say “finally” because we first heard about this project back in mid-2012. The film was shot and directed by B. Skow before he left Vivid to form his own production company. Now, almost two years after it was announced and filmed, Vivid has finally gotten around to releasing Austin Powers XXX: A Porn Parody.
The film stars Tommy Pistol in the role of Austin Powers. And taking a cue from the original Austin Powers movie, Pistol also plays Dr. Evil. Working alongside the “International Man of Mystery” is secret agent Vanessa Kensington, who is played by Natasha Nice. The rest of the cast includes Nina Hartley (Frau Undawaren), Allie Haze, and Evan Stone (both of whom play Fembots).
Described as “a parody of a parody”, the plot of Austin Powers XXX closely follows that of the movie that it spoofs. Powers is a sex-loving British agent in the 1960’s who’s living it up while working to stop Dr. Evil. After Evil escapes into space (because that’s what villains do), Powers is put on ice. But when Dr. Evil returns from space, Austin Powers is thawed out and is teamed with the young and sexy Vanessa Kensington. All of this takes place between five hardcore sex scenes.
A lot has changed since the Austin Powers porn parody was shot back in 2012. At the time, both B. Skow and Allie Haze were exclusive to Vivid. Since then, both have ended their exclusive relationships with the studio. B. Skow went on to found Skow Productions and has been doing a lot of work with Girlfriends Films on such critically acclaimed films as Daddy’s Girls. And Allie Haze is now a free agent, working with various studios on a wide range of films.
So why the huge delay in the release of Austin Powers XXX? It likely had to do with Vivid wanting to pace itself. It’s pretty common for Vivid to “stockpile” these porn parodies – it’s done the same thing with films shot by Axel Braun – and then release them later on down the road. This way, the studio is evenly spreading out it’s major films instead of having two or three debut on top of each other. Still, two years is a damn long time to be waiting for a porn parody.
As is customary with Vivid, Austin Powers XXX will be released first online to members of Vivid.com. The film will then be made available to everyone via DVD on February 25th.
