10. Nicole Doshi
Die-Screaming ranked Nicole Doshi as one of the ten best new starlets of 2022. A year later, here she is with a showing on the Top 10 Best Female Pornstars countdown. It’s well deserved. Throughout the previous dozen months, Nicole showed out in some of 2023’s best hardcore releases. Highlights of hers would include her scenes in Anal Savages 9 (Jules Jordan Video), Horny Hotwife Vol. 1 (Elegant Angel), and, of course, her amazing showcase film Nicole Doshi Unleashed (Delphine).
9. Angel Youngs
When I included Angel Youngs on the 10 Best New Starlets of 2021 countdown, I had a pretty good idea that she was destined for bigger things. And, yeah, here she is as one of the best XXX performers of 2023. Angel put up a banner year, delivering award-worthy performances in some of the best-selling titles of 2023, including Wasteland Ultra (Digital Playground), Dirty Masseur 26 (Brazzers), and BBC Pie Vol. 8 (Pure Passion). AVN also seemed to think she was great, considering Ms. Youngs just earned nine AVN Award nominations, including one for Female Performer of the Year.
8. Lulu Chu
Lulu Chu had a breakout year in 2023. She was incredible in Feed Me (AdultTime), starring in every one of the movie’s hardcore scenes and making it one of the best Porn movies of the year. That performance earned her Best Actress nods from both XBIZ and AVN. In addition to that career role, Lulu also knocked it out of the park with scenes in such films as I Want Your Friend (Devil’s Film) and Fanfriction (Brazzers).
7. Anna de Ville
Anna de Ville capped 2023 off by earning her third XBIZ Europa Female Performer of the Year and fifth AVN Foreign Female Performer of the Year nomination. That alone should give you an idea of how amazing a year she put together. But if you need some additional examples, I can help. Anna was named as SINematica’s MVP for May and served up stellar performances in such critically acclaimed films as More Than She Bargained For (Pure Taboo), Life’s A Bitch (SINematica), and Anna’s Vintage Vixens (Sinful XXX).
6. Blake Blossom
Let me remind you that Blake Blossom has the AVN, XRCO, and NightMoves Best New Starlet trophies sitting on her mantle. Or on a shelf or wherever. That’s impressive but what’s even more impressive is that 2023 might have been her best year in Porn yet, surpassing even the year that won her all those trophies. She delivered rousing showings in such hardcore scorchers as Bangers 2 (DarkX), Vanity (Wicked Pictures), and The Influencers (Zero Tolerance Entertainment). While she may be a bit of a longshot, don’t be surprised if Blake walks away with either the AVN or XBIZ Female Performer of the Year trophy, because she’s been nominated for both.
5. Vanna Bardot
Vanna Bardot’s jaw-dropping performance in Influence: Vanna Bardot (Tushy) was probably epic enough to earn her a spot on this year’s Top 10 Female Pornstar rankings. Thankfully, that gem was only one of the truly outstanding gifts that Vanna had for us in 2023. She was also amazing in such films as All The Money (Wicked Pictures) and Sexual Icons 3 (HardX) and was named a Vixen Angel and a TeamSkeet AllStar. If that doesn’t impress you then you are an asshole.
4. Kylie Rocket
In 2023, Kylie Rocket certainly lived up to her name, shooting her way into the upper stratosphere of XXX superstardom. In addition to landing on the cover of Hustler’s August edition and recently being nominated for a collective 13 XBIZ and AVN awards, Kylie was also responsible for some of the spiciest hardcore scenes of the year. She helped make Love, Sex & Hollywood (Adam & Eve) into one of the best features of the year and also crushed it in films such as Blast From The Past (Wicked Pictures) and Platonic (Sweet Sinner).
3. Anna Claire Clouds
Since she made her Porn debut in 2019, Anna Claire Clouds has firmly established herself as an undisputed megastar. In 2023, Anna Claire put together the best year of her career and delivered one great performance after another. She performed her first anal scene for Tushy, was profiled by XBIZ, and starred in a string of best-selling adult films. Highlights of hers would surely include Superstar Room Vol. 2 (Ricky’s Room), Unbound (Brazzers), and Things Your Wife Won’t Do 5 (Nubiles).
2. Lilly Bell
Lilly Bell is one of the baddest women currently working in Porn and that’s just a fact. From one end of 2023 to the other, Lilly was on a mission to take her hardcore game to an even higher level. How? Well, she performed her first gangbang scene and starred in massive XXX hits like More (Dorcel), Privilege Part 1 (Wicked Pictures), and Trouble (Dorcel). Oh, and she also co-wrote the screenplay for Feed Me (AdultTime), which was one of the greatest movies of the year. I told you she’s a badass.
1. Kira Noir
Kira Noir is Die-Screaming’s pick for Best Female Pornstar of 2023. So if you thought that Kira peaked when she won the AVN Female Performer of the Year last year, nope, she’s still on one. Her accomplishments across the past twelve months are crazy impressive. She played leading roles ranging from a homicidal sex robot (Love, Sex & Robots) to a grizzled soldier (Machine Gunner), and signed an exclusive performance deal with Brazzers in the back half of the year. I don’t think she’s done winning Female Performer of the Year trophies, fam.
About this year’s Top 10 Best Female Pornstar rankings…
This is the tenth year that I’ve assembled these Best Female Pornstar rankings for Die-Screaming. While I fully understand how dumb it is to rank people against other people, I also believe that a countdown such as this does serve to shine a spotlight on some of the year’s most elite adult film stars. And with as shitty as pornstars and sex workers, in general, are being treated by this shitty world we live in, I think any amount of kudos we can throw their way the better.
Importantly, there is actual math behind these rankings. Each year, I score performers across a dozen different categories, assigning a numerical score for each. I then total everything up for each performer and the women who had the ten highest scores are the ones you see above. Will I give you my exact scoring model? No. But I will give you some statistics to maybe help add some context.
- This year, 111 female XXX performers were ranked. Three women were each two points or less away from making this year’s Top 10.
- Only 20% of the performers featured on this year’s countdown were included in last year’s.
- 9.5 points separated positions #1 and #10.
- The smallest gap between any two consecutive positions on this year’s Top 10 was between #7 and #8, which had just 0.2 points between them. The largest distance was between positions #1 and #2, which were separated by 4 points.

I’ll be the first to admit that this Top 10 list isn’t perfect. It would be impossible to narrow the list of deserving pornstars down to just ten without leaving at least twice as many very deserving performers off the countdown. However, I watch a seriously unhealthy amount of smut every year and I’m very confident that the list you see above is truly as good and fair as anyone could manage.
