Amazing Spider-Man Trailer

The Amazing Spider-Man trailer hints at a darker Spider-Man movie

The past week has seen a ton of new teaser trailers hitting the web.  Last week, it was Batman: The Dark Knight Rises.  Then, earlier this week, The Avengers trailer was leaked.  Now, we have the official Amazing Spider-Man trailer to gawk and geek out at.  And, wow, this thing looks beautiful.  For everyone that had major complaints about the herky-jerky CGI web-slinging sequences that were featured in the Sam Raimi Spider-Man movies, it seems this new reboot gets quite the upgrade.  Take a look…

Right away, you get the sense that The Amazing Spider-Man is going to be  a lot darker that those other Spider-Man films.  And Peter Parker (played by Andrew Garfield) seems a lot more insecure and brooding.  But perhaps the most impressive thing featured in this trailer is the absolutely stunning first-person web-slinging.  Like I said, it’s a huge upgrade from the kind-of-shitty CGI stuff that we fed in large doses by Sam Raimi during his run on the Spider-Man franchise.  The disappointment, obviously, is the lack of any Lizard footage.  I’m sure that will be coming shortly, however.

All in all, I’m really pleased with this first Amazing Spider-Man trailer.  It definitely looks like a movie that I want to see and a vast improvement over the previous films, which seemed to get worse with each one.  I really, really want this movie to be awesome and, from what I’ve seen from this trailer, it seems as if that won’t be a problem.  But enough about my thoughts on the matter.  What do you think on the Amazing Spider-Man trailer?  Let us know in the comments below.
