Rize of the Fenix – The New Tenacious D Album

Believe it or not, it’s been five long years since Tenacious D released their last album, The Pick of Destiny.  Now, finally, the “D” drought is over, with the band announcing that it’s new album; Rize of the Fenix, will be released this May.  As a longtime fan of the rock force that is Tenacious D, this is some pretty exciting news as far as I’m concerned.  And while many people, even many of their fans, consider Pick of Destiny to be a dud, I actually still listen to it and, honestly, enjoy it.  And, you know what?  I’m listening to it right fucking now so fuck all you haters.  And, yes, I will be purchasing a copy of Rize of the Fenix, as well.

To give you a better idea of what the band (which is composed of Jack Black and Kyle Gass) has in store with Rize of the Fenix, here’s a little promo tune the band whipped up to help tell the world about their impending album…

Impressive, yes?  Hopefully, all of you are as excited as I am to hear of Tenacious D’s Rize of the Fenix.  And when it hits, we must all but a copy and help get The D back on the charts, where they belong.  C’mon, people, don’t let the terrorists and Dub Step ass-hats win.  Help support Tenacious D because, well, just fucking do it.
