Gerber Apocalypse Kit - Walking Dead - Zombie Apocalypse When there’s no more room left in Hell, zombie hordes will begin walking the Earth and then, pretty much, we’re all fucked.  Most of us will either get eaten by zombies or be turned into zombies.  However, some of you will actually survive the initial carnage.  Yes, you’ll be forced to live in hiding or on the run, but at least you’ll be alive.  In an effort to help increase your chances of survival in this post-apocalyptic world, Gerber has put together a “Apocalypse Kit” (which was also featured in AMC’s Walking Deadtelevision show) that is filled with all manner of knives and other stabby-stabby tools.  It’s no flame-thrower or pump action shotgun, but unlike those very efficient zombie murdering weapons, the Gerber stuff will never run out of ammo. Okay, so what exactly is included in this Apocalypse Kit?  I knew you were going to ask that question and I am prepared to answer it!  Here’s the complete list of zombie killing weapons included in the kit…

  • Gator Machete
  • Camp Axe II
  • Gator Machete “Pro”
  • Parang
  • LMF II Infantry Combat Knife
  • DMF Folder Serrated Knife
  • Epic Knife

Okay, so now let’s look at what all this zombie apocalypse assault weaponry looks like…

Are these the ideal type of weapons for fighting off zombies?  Probably not.  More like last resort type of things.  After all, if you are close enough to the zombie to stab him/her, the zombie is also close enough to bite you.  Also, I’ve never done it before, but I would say that trying to kill a zombie with a folding knife is probably pretty difficult.  Still, guns jam and eventually run out of bullets, so I guess having a kit full of blades may be useful.  But certainly not preferred. Gerber has limited these kits to a total of two hundred and when they’re gone, well, I guess they’re gone.  And at $350 for the whole kit, it’s really not that bad of a deal, if you’re in the market for post-apocalypse zombie killing weapons.  And who isn’t?  For more information on the Gerber Apocalypse Kit, or to buy one, visit their website.  But before you go there, what are your thoughts on this zombie killing kit?  Worth the price?  Let us know in the comments.
