Fear Itself: Who Are the Mighty?

Move over Worthy villains, here comes The Mighty heroes

For those following along with Marvel Comics’ Fear Itself storyline, things aren’t going so good for the heroes.  Odin and the Asgardians have left Earth and have plans to wipe out humanity in order to stop The Serpent from using the humans’ fear to power his army of destruction.  Bucky Barnes, who was the acting Captain America, has been killed in battle.  And The Serpent’s “Worthy” forces are wreaking havoc all across the globe, killing all in their path.  Well, based on the promo artwork released by Marvel, it looks at if the superheroes are about to get an upgrade.

Meet The Mighty.  Sort of.  While the picture has the characters blacked out, it’s fairly easy to figure out who most of them are.  From left to right, my guess is that we’re looking at Ms. Marvel, Iron Fist, Dr. Strange, Iron Man, Savage She-Hulk, Wolverine, Invisible Woman (or maybe Black Widow?), Hawkeye, and Spider-Man.  At any rate, it looks like Fear Itself is going to come down to The Worthy vs. The Mighty.  This may just end up being one of the most epic slugfests that we’ve seen out of Marvel in quite some time.
