Stodden officially accepts $1 Million offer from Vivid
Since achieving a quasi-celebrity status a few years ago, the porn industry has been trying to recruit Courtney Stodden. You may recall that Jesse Jane tried to get her to sign with Digital Playground, but for a while it appeared that Stodden wouldn’t cross-over into the world of smut. That is…until now.
Courtney Stodden has just officially accepted a $1 Million offer from Vivid Entertainment, selling an erotic solo “sex tape” to the studio.
According to a report appearing on TMZ, Courtney Stodden has agreed to let Vivid distribute the tape – which only shows her doing naked stuff by herself, no hardcore sex – and will donate “one-hundred percent” of the $1 Million to charity.
Who is Courtney Stodden?
[schema type=”person” name=”Courtney Stodden” jobtitle=”Celebrity” url=”https://twitter.com/CourtneyStodden” description=”Courtney Stodden became a celebrity at age 16 after she married actor Doug Hutchison (he was a member of the Lost television show cast), who at the time was 51 years old. Since then, Stodden has become a media sensation thanks in part to her good looks and willingness to post sexually suggestive pictures of herself on all of her social media profiles. And aside from being a blonde hottie who married some dude old enough to be her grandfather…she really hasn’t done a whole lot with her life.” bday=”1994-08-29″ ]
So…is Courtney Stodden a pornstar now?
No. No she is not.
The “sex tape” that Stodden is releasing is a private video that shows her alone, naked, and probably doing sexy-type stuff. The video itself was supposedly stolen by one of her close friends, who tried allegedly tried to use it to blackmail Courtney Stodden into paying them off. To counter that, she went ahead and sold a copy to Vivid instead.
This does not make Courtney Stodden a pornstar. At most, it’s a video of her using a dildo on herself or something similar. A pornstar is a professional performer who gets paid to deliver sex scenes on demand, creating an erotic fantasy that an audience will want to throw money at in exchange for having the opportunity to watch it.
Making a video of yourself rubbing one out doesn’t qualify a person as a pornstar, I’m sorry.
Can Courtney Stodden become a pornstar at some point? Sure. But this video alone doesn’t make her one.
What do you think?
What are your thoughts on the news that Courtney Stodden has sold her “sex tape” to Vivid? Do you think she actually made a cool $1 Million on the deal? And if she did, do you believe that she’s going to give it all away to charity? Does this video qualify Courtney Stodden as a pornstar, in your opinion?
