Sitting here on another Saturday feeling a little sad but happy makes me realize that I’ll be feeling the same for a while for a few reasons (some I know others not so much).  The main reason that I think I feel this way is a week from today, the 29th, my cousin and his fiancé and now friend to me Leah Donovan will be getting married and I couldn’t be happier for the both of them.  They met through many of Die-Screaming’s writers friends Adam and Mandy, they hit it off right away and we here at Die-Screaming wish them nothing but the best in their new life.

Ryan has been my best friend for as long as I can remember. He’s been there for me always no matter what I needed and seeing as how I don’t have a biological brother Ryan is my brother always has and always will be.  I know that even though we don’t get to see each other as much as we used to but we still try to make time when he comes up from MD. Ryan taught me many things like how to burp, light a fart, algebra, and introduced me to many of the things I still love today (Power Rangers, TMNT, Centurions, Earthworm Jim, Weird Al, Nicktoons, Beavis & Butthead, and other things).  I remember when I was 5, he was 7 and he brought over his Megazord to play with (thanks again for getting me into Power Rangers Ron), we would also trick our smaller cousins and my sisters into thinking they were playing No Mercy, or playing air guitar after our baths in the jacuzzi.  We always had a good time and rarely fought.

While reading this you’re thinking you talked a shit ton about the groom but what about the bride Leah. I haven’t had a much time to hang out with her as I did with Ryan so I don’t wanna say something that may be untrue or step on toes, etc.  All I need to know about Leah is that she makes Ron happy and that’s all that matters to me.  I already know come a week today when I take my place up at the altar supporting him there will be tears from everyone involved including myself but they’ll be tears of joy knowing my brother has found someone who makes him truly happy.

After the service, the drinks will flow, the music will blare, good times will be had and if I’m lucky some bridesmaid will be drunk enough that I’ll be her mistake of the night (hey I can’t make it seem like I completely grew a vagina just mostly).  If anyone that reads this knows the happy couple take a few minutes out of your day to leave a comment below and I’ll make sure they see it.  Congratulations Ryan and Leah, I love you both so much.
