Captain America & Bucky #624 Solicit: Is Bucky Still Alive?

For those who know me, or read anything I write, it’s no secret that Captain America is my favorite Marvel character. In fact, he and Indiana Jones are tied for #1 as my favorite fictional characters ever (followed by James Bond, Harry Potter, and Link from the Legend of Zelda series, in case you were wondering AND YOU WEREN’T). It might shock you, or maybe not, for me to say that I prefer Bucky over Steve Rogers any day of the week. So when Bucky was “killed” in Fear Itself #3, you could imagine my dismay and concern over when or if he would ever be back. Well, it appears it may be sooner than we think:

Now, I’m not going to get my hopes up too high (BUT I WILL FUCKING BURN DOWN MARVEL OFFICES IF HE’S NOT ALIVE), but the bolded and italicized line could be very telling. Maybe he’s alive. Maybe he faked his own death. Or maybe he was carried to Valhalla and is retelling his life to other warriors who perished on the battlefield. Who knows? But I guess we’ll find out in a few months.
