Arkham City Series 3 Figures from DC Collectibles

DC Collectibles (formally known as DC Direct) will be launching Series 3 of the popular Arkham City action figure collection this September.  This new set of Arkham City toys will feature six figures; Batman, Azrael, Ra’s Al Ghul, Penguin, and two different Clown Thugs.  Set to go on sale September 19th, this series is unique compared to the other Arkham City series of figures as it features the first “basic” Batman figure of the bunch and (so far) contains zero female characters.  As with the other two series, however, the characters will be of the 6.75 inch scale, with the exception being Penguin, who comes in a bit shorter for obvious reasons.

The coolest figure of the bunch?  In my opinion, that distinction goes hands down to Azrael (also known as “the Mysterious Watcher” in the Arkham City game).  Yes, he does look like an armored up rip off of something from the Assassin’s Creed line of games, but whatever.  It’s not clear yet if his sword, known as “The Sword of Sin”, is able to be removed from its scabbard, but it’s a fair bet that it will.  Why include a weapon that’s called “The Sword of Sin” if you can’t event play with the damn thing, right?
