About Die-Screaming

Geek Culture News, Reviews, Analysis, and Discussion

Die-Screaming is a blog dedicated to providing some of the most comprehensive coverage of Geek Culture and Alternative Geek Culture available.  Staffed by people who have a life-long passion for the fabric of geek culture (comic books, movies, porn, video games, action figures, etc), Die-Screaming is meant to serve as a fresh, exciting, and irreverent look at the world of Geek.  Die-Screaming was founded in November of 2010 and is run by Editor-in-Chief Dan C.

Why should you trust Die-Screaming?

Fair question.  The people behind Die-Screaming aren’t professional journalists.  We’re all a bunch of geeks who have a passion for geeky things.  Die-Screaming is our outlet where we share that passion, offering insight, analysis, and passing along news about subjects that interest us, and hopefully you as well.

Also, all of the articles on this site are 100% original and are meant to help advance the overall discussion of geek news, opinion, and reviews.  Our authors are not paid for their work and all write what they write because they 1.) Love the topic they are writing about and 2.) Want to share their insight and opinion with all of you.  Die-Screaming is not owned by any parent company, we don’t have any kind of agenda, and we do not accept any form of compensation in exchange for either positive or negative reviews.

Finally, we want Die-Screaming to be something awesome.  We take pride in how this site looks and performs.  We take what we write about seriously and we do our very best to ensure that the product that we’re putting in front of you is of the highest possible quality.  We do our best to limit the amount of ads that you see and to ensure that they are not distracting from the main content.  In short, we really do give a damn about the overall user experience that you, our reader, encounters when clicking onto this site.

Die-Screaming?

The biggest question we get is, “Why Die-Screaming?”  The answer is, “Because it was available and who the fuck is going to pass up buying a domain name like ‘Die-Screaming?”  In terms of what Die-Screaming is, well, it’s a Geek News blog dedicated to covering the worlds of Comic Books, Movies, Porn, and anything else that can be found under the geek umbrella.  A website by geeks for geeks, Die-Screaming isn’t your everyday, cookie-cutter blog.  We feature a team of extremely talented writers and provide news, analysis, and opinion that can’t be found anywhere else.

Another question we get a lot is, “Why do you have PORN on your website?!?”  To be clear, Die-Screaming is NOT a porn site.  It’s not.  However, we do DISCUSS porn on this website.  Why?  Because, yes, porn is a part of geek culture…it’s just not a part of geek culture that all of those “mainstream” geek news websites feel comfortable with discussing.  They need to worry about sponsors and corporate policies and not being controversial in any way and all of that.  At Die-Screaming, we don’t give a hoot about any of that.  So, yes, we blog about porn.  We interview people who work in the porn industry, provide updates on pornstars, and highlight new and best selling adult film titles.  But if you’re looking for a “porn site”, you should probably look elsewhere, ’cause this ain’t that.

Die-Screaming has one goal: To blog about the things that matter to geeks of all types.  We want to be the very best, most exciting, and most original geek culture blog on the Internet.  This isn’t a job for us.  None of us “work” for this website, and none of us earn a paycheck in exchange for what we write about.  Long story short, this site costs a whole lot more money that it brings in.  And that’s fine.  We love comic books, movies, porn, cosplay, video games, and toys enough that we’re actually okay with paying for the privilege of writing about all of it.

On behalf of everyone here at Die-Screaming, I want to thank you for stopping by and taking the time to browse our geek news website.  Hopefully, we’ve put together something that is of a high enough quality that it keeps you coming back for more.  If you enjoy the site, it would mean a lot to us if you’d tell your friends about it and help spread the word about what we’re doing here.
